Weird happenings with electric devices in and around my house.

That's odd...I'm glad I'm not the only one it's happening to.
Tv keeps doing weird things on and off, weird noises coming from certain appliances and same with internet and cell coverage.

Really? If you’re being honest then this is something for us at GLP to look into. Internet of things could also be a possibility. With all these WiFi waves and radio waves everywhere any sort of natural EMP or the advancement of cell signals could play a huge part

I'm an electrician so I was curious what this post was about, no answers for OP though after reading thru it BUT this post caught my eye because of something strange that's been happening in my house....if I'm in the kitchen and I make noise, I can hear noise on the other side of the door to the outside EVERY time like something or someone is trying to communicate.

I tried it when the house was completely silent and I was the only person home even...as soon as I make noise I hear bangs and bumps on the exterior wall. I'm about to just start asking what it wants to see if I can get a response..

My Samsung TV came on in the middle of the night. Woke me up and I thought someone might have broke into the lower level where the TV is at. I am armed but decided to lock the main level bedroom door and call the non-police line. I told the dispatcher about how weird this is and several minutes later (we live in the boonies) three cruisers arrived. I told the dispatcher at that point I was locking up my weapon since I could see the officer. One of the officers said after the house was cleared to put the TV on a power strip as this is not the first time it has happened.

We don't have a problem here but my cousin is selling his farm because of the drug problems in the area and meth heads constantly driving into his driveway claiming to be lost. Lots of break ins. Recently a druggy broke into a house and was caught red handed taking a shower after he made and ate breakfast. LOL.

BTW - my Kindle turns on at night too if the power cord is attached.

My Ghost do not respond back to me lol. Times I wish they did but then? I think the distance they keep at communicating is for the best.These Ghosts? I couldn't handle these Ghost up close and personal.As far as you asking it what it wants? I would be afraid to hear them answer that question, although I already know the answer.Good luck getting a response though! Let us know if you get one.

where do you live? Perhaps the electrical activity is due to static buildup under the region your home is in. Are you in earthquake prone area of any kind?

Don't even know where to begin with electronics.Happens with all of them,at home in the car in stores the register etc checking me out.Even on my body.Medical equipment fails.I can not wear a watch because of it.Glitches abound. Never will understand it. I am used to it though.

You say it's when things are plugged in. Sounds like power surges. Get surge protectors

Get an outlet tester (aka "receptacle tester) and check every outlet in the house. Also a 2 to 3 prong polarized adapter and light socket adapter, also polarized. This will give you a "lay of the land" take on whether the house is wired properly. If not, get an electrician to remedy that. If it is, then get a couple of voltage readers the kind you can leave plugged in, and check them enough that you have a baseline to evaluate agaist the next time something acts up. Once in a while people get in intermittent short between 110 and 230 lines, most of the time it is fine until the wind blows just right and then intermittent crossover happens.

We've had a couple instances of power going over 140v here... I know because I monitor it. Both times it was the power company, not house wiring... a transformer ramped up to meet surge demand and then failed to back off when load dropped. That is too hot and can damage electronics.

Once you have eliminated those, get out your binoculars and start looking for any antennas in the neighborhood that weren't there previously, you may even talk to enthusiasts at your local ham radio club and see if they have any tips or advice. These guys work hard to stay legit and will trounce on anyone coloring outside the lines and giving them a bad name by causing interference with their transmitter. They may have suggestions on confirming or eliminating radio interference as a source of issues.

Microprocessors have been used to turn on appliances since the 1980s. The use a LOW to turn on so that a power surge won’t turn something on.

So weird that I saw this post, my tv turned on all by itself last night. I thought that maybe I sat on the remote but it was 4 feet away,..strange

I will be glad to go back to real ON/OFF switches on damn things again. These latching pushbutton circuits are for the birds.

Weird same day my blowdryer shorted out while using it and daughters did too and made her fuses to have to be reset. May be coincidence, but thought it was strange. Also, satellite box acting wonky and internet going out a lot.

My microwave light flickers when you open the door. Not every time, randomly. Meh, probably needs a bulb?

BUT... last night there was a very loud vibrating metal sound throughout our house and the lights flickered. I thought something was about to explode (hot water heater? but it's new in Dec). Then it reminded me of that time those bozos exploded their house nearby. Really loud and like vibrating like a wave went through, I don't know how else to describe it.

The fam came out of their bedrooms (was about 11:30pm) to see wtf. Looked outside and the neighbor across the street was also looking out the windows so they must have felt/heard it too. Was probably about 2 full seconds drain on the electric although it didn't flick off off, just dimmed down real low.

No effing idea.

Since turning off the power strip for the TV the turning on at night problem has stopped. It is the smart TVs which have this problem and is happening with many brands. I have a Visio.

One alternative is YOU.

Some people in awakening process seems to affect all electronic devices around them.
