Re: Blood Clots - Deep Vein Thrombosis - SHAVE YOURSHELVES!
I was almost killed by a bloodclot in 1964.

Back then they paddled kids in school for misbehaving.

One day I was wrongly accused of something I did not do. The female teacher requested the 300 pound coach to come and paddle me. This clown bragged about drilling holes in his paddle in order to make it sting as much as possible.

The coach was one sadistic, perverted piece of garbage. He swung his wooden paddle back a far as he could and swung with his full weight behind it. I got 10 of them.

It was so brutal that my ass and legs turned black. The next day I felt numb in my ass. It was a blood clot. As the day went along I could feel the numb feeling moving up my leg to my side and then to my neck. At that point it had only two paths. Either go to my brain which would have killed me instantly or go to my nose.

I was very lucky that it went to my nose. It swelled my nose shut and I went to the idiot doctor who said I had a cold. Two months later I still could not breath out of my nose and so went to the doctor again. It was then they discovered the blood clot in my nose.

They told me there were too many nerves and major blood vessels in my nose to give my any sort of pain numbing medication. So they strapped me in a chair and had other people hold my head in place while the doctor ran his knife up my nose and cut the blood clot out. I am in my upper 60's now and can say that I have never been through a more painful thing in my life.

Because the idiot doctors did not catch the clot in my nose right away the clot was in my nose for two months and dissolved most of the cart ledge in my nose. so I have gone through most of my life with a nose that looks like a boxers nose....one that has been broken multiple times.

Don't get me wrong though. Even though I went through hell I still believe in spanking and paddling to discipline kids. But the people who do it need to be trained and not be left to sadistic fat ass coaches brutalizing those kids.

That... is truly awful. Wow.

And this is why I don't support corporal punishment in schools. Crazy leftists touch my child... Well, he can defend himself, now.

Turmeric is a natural thinner and should be stopped a couple weeks before surgery. Been taking it for about 8 years and when I bleed I really bleed but I think it’s just age...

Google Inclined Bed Therapy.

Compression socks do not address the problem.

Increasing circulation does.
I have personal experience with this but I dont to waste my time educating people like you.

Most of you believe in doctors which is your problem.
I doubt most of you would take the effort actually doing what I suggested. Or thinking that you need to have a health problem in order to improve your health.

Retarded beast like thinking.

I bet deep vein thrombosis didn't exist before western medicine filled everyone's bodies with playdough.

I am sorry you feel this way. You have no idea the number of "strange" things I have tried. Modern medicine has left me high and dry on way too many occasions. I see them as emergency/acute treatment, but not as health practitioners.

I will now look up your inclined bed therapy. I have noticed that raising my leg above my heart hurts quite a bit. Maybe because the amount of blood trying to move by the clot is too much and it pools where the clot starts? ) It's about a foot long! Mid-thigh to mid abdomen.

Yes, since it was fairly close to my lung area, I went with modern meds to hold it in place. The risk of a PE was frightening.

Vit. "C" has become a really big issue surprise and issue with me. I willnot go into as to why, but that it should be taken into serious consideration of blood problems.

I have always taken Vit "C" with little interest, other than to take it on a regular basis, without fail. Then the other week I found out why. . . I just want to say, the posters in this thread, should take it without fail, or eat an orange every day. Your life may depend on it. I cannot explain my situation because I donot, understand it. I will say that Vit C in any form is a miracle vit.

So, our AC from the Netherlands was pointing to the process of inclining the head of one's bed by 6 inches to facilitate proper blood circulation. It seems simple to implement, just insert strong blocks under the two bedposts at the head of the bed.

I've always slept best in a hammock. Perhaps this is why. I don't like being flat.

Does anyone already do this and what differences did you notice?

Re: Blood Clots - Deep Vein Thrombosis - SHAVE YOURSHELVES!
This is a modified post from my other thread. Thread: Let your food be your medicine

I hope turning it into its own thread helps someone.

Randomly, I developed a clot in November (deep vein thrombosis - technical name) in my leg. According to the ER doctor and the Vascular Surgeon, they have no freaking idea why they happen. Yay, modern medicine.

Doctors do know long periods of sitting or standing, travel in planes (hey, sitting!) can play a part. They know that wearing compression socks during times when you aren't moving a lot help prevent them.

Other things that help prevent them are exercise and taking breaks from sitting or standing every 20 minutes. These breaks are not always practical. When driving 4 hours (or more), are you going to pull over ever 20 minutes to walk for 5? Probably not.

Compression socks help protect against blood clots. During sedentary periods, the pressure from the sock helps keep the blood in the leg moving. These days, it is possible to purchase ones that look like regular socks for men and women, so they aren't the fashion faux pas that they used to be.

Clots do not always hurt. Mine definitely does. Wearing heavy-duty compression socks (with more pressure than required for normal daily wear for prevention) helps me be able to hobble about for short periods of time, two months after the clot developed.

Clots can also the cause of pulmonary embolisms. This can be deadly. My father had a large clot that he didn't know about (because the clot didn't cause pain) until a part broke off and went to his lung. He couldn't breathe and luckily made it to the ER in time. He could have died.

Anyone who sits or stands for long periods of time can potentially save themselves a lot of pain and possibly their life by wearing these. Truck drivers, yes. People who fly a lot, yes. People who work either in front of a computer all day or stand in an assembly line type job, yes.

They aren't expensive and some of them just look like socks. It could save your life.

Folks need to get tested for Lieden Factor V. I had a two knee surgeries and on the third knee surgery I got a DVT and was eventually diagnosed with a Pulmonary Embolism. I did not know I had Lieden Factor V. The test is cheap, but being faced with a clot following an surgery a test is much cheaper than a trip to an emergency room with a PE.

Re: Blood Clots - Deep Vein Thrombosis - SHAVE YOURSHELVES!
Systemic enzymes are SERRAPEPTASE & NATTOKINASE.

I have taken Serrapeptase. It is not cheap about $40 a bottle. It takes helps with inflammation, swelling & eliminating excess fibrin.

Nattokinase, I have only gotten from fermented foods...specifically fermented soy and MISO. There is a great tasting Miso Mayo. [link to www.misomayo.com]

Any soy product NOT fermented should be avoided as it is a franken food. No matter what any alleged expert claims. Yes, soy has been eaten for like 2,000 years but it was always fermented. That is what is usually left out.

I have also used fermented soy bean paste and applied it to a swollen spot on my lower leg. First I applied DMSO roller. Then I applied with a spatula organic MISO paste. Never contaminating the Miso by double dipping. I did this minimum twice a day. Left it all on my leg for as long as I could sit & be entertained.

I had injured my lower leg. I had a large, hot swollen spot several days after injuring my leg. I could not move my leg. It was difficult to walk. My lower leg was swollen as well. When my co workers inquired why I was hobbling around, I showed them the swelling & they gasped & recommending I see a doctor. I had no intention of seeing a doctor, as I was NOT gushing, dangling or knocked out cold.

After 3 weeks, my leg swelling went down & the hot spot(5"x8") disappeared. I also had a delightful, unexpected side effect.

I also took serrapeptase, curcumin, peprine, fermented cod liver oil with butter oil & homemade bone broth daily. I took ginger, turmeric & apple cider vinegar with my daily kombusha.. I cut out all sugar & glutens, absolutely none.

I always strive & eat for optimum nutrition.

My job was walking constantly, so I had to walk. I wore no compression socks at all. I did sit on my breaks and put my legs up. At night I put my legs up on the wall and rub my inside of my calves down towards my heart. I learned to do this while pregnant as this kept my varicose veins from getting worse. I also ate an organic apple a day(skin & seeds, then entire apple but not the stem) as apples are known to negate swelling.

My theory is varicose veins are caused by inflammation(glutens, sugar & poor nutrition) & excess fibrin in the veins, not faulty valves.

Another theory, taking therapeutic doses short term is fine. Overall, I do not take the same supplements all the time as my system gets accustomed to the supplements.

Yes, I literally could not move my left leg to the side of the bed. I had to use my hands to move my leg. And the pain was incredible. This went on for awhile. It just became routine.

"The idea that vitamins require all the cofactors to be completely functional" was a quote I pulled from your thread Let your food be your medicine.

This is so true. I call it BIOAVAILABLE. It does take some research. For example turmeric & cucurmin(element in turmeric) & cayenne, all need black pepper or peprine.

Also I did take about 12 capsules of cayenne daily for 4 or 5 days. Then one daily for a few days. And then back to 12 during my leg crisis. I forgot to add that.

And if one gets their supplements from optimum nutrition, it would be rare overwhelm their system.

A word of warning about DMSO, especially topical applications. It makes the skin permeable. Highly permeable. For a day or so. Anything, and I mean everything you put over the permeablized area will have a free escort into your body.

Put on DMSO and later put on commercial lotion? Chemicals in your body.

Wear synthetic clothes over the area? Yep, in it goes.

Did you apply it with your hand? Guess what? 24 hours of watching what you do with that hand. Is your tap water chlorinated and fluoridated?

It is powerful stuff and must be respected. Please read up on it before using it. It is banned for use in people by the FDA supposedly because of one unsubstantiated report of a death of a woman in Ireland in 1965. The FDA suspended the use and confiscated the human research on DMSO shortly thereafter.

From what I read in DMSO: Nature's Healer about leg problems, repeated topical application was used. For some conditions, it was injected. I'm not set up for that....

Well written, so true, I rarely detail the steps I took to optimum health. It is just easier to quietly live it, rather than explain it. Most people cannot receive such information as these people are programmed/manipulated to give away their power for healing.

Most are not aware that their subconscious is being used against them through subliminal programming. This is another factor to optimum health.

If you go to my Thread: Let your food be your medicine

I summarize videos by Darren Schmidt who has gone back and read pre WWII medical research. The researchers found that vitamins were made of large outer shells (ascorbic acid for vitamin C, for example) and many necessary cofactors. Ascorbic acid will not cure scurvy. Vitamin C will.

Vitamins can be gotten by eating whole foods containing them or by purchasing vitamins produced from whole foods, such as the company he recommends, Standard Process.

Vitamin C can be obtained from citrus fruit and some veggies, as well as animal adrenals (yum).

Vitamin D can be obtained from animal organs like liver.

And so on and so forth. Vitamin E is more than the two outer shells that are usually sold.
