35-years of experiments confirm farm ground yields poorly on Good Friday and Holy Saturday
I just received this authoritative 2018 calendar book for biodynamic planting: [link to www.calendarsstore.com]

On page 17 there is an article called, “Sowing on Good Friday and Holy Saturday.” The article is German, but translated into English.

It says, “Trials carried out 35 or 40 years ago and repeated many times since then have shown that Good Friday and Holy Saturday cannot be recommended for sowing or transplanting. Seeds sown on those days germinate poorly, produce weak seedlings and result in poor yields. Young plants that are transplanted on these days don’t root properly, their leaves hang down and most of them don’t survive. This negative effect on plant growth begins in the early morning of Good Friday and ends at sunrise on Easter Sunday.”

The article provides detailed number graphs and explains how the farmers methodically tested multiple plots of land with multiple different control factors and variants, all in attempts to disprove this observation. But the experiments simply confirmed the observation, “the plants soon became stunted, they struggled to grow beyond the seedling stage, were very late in shooting and it seemed that they wouldn’t produce any ears. In the end some meagre ears were produced…”

Keep in mind, these are expert biodynamic farmers who did these tests – they can grow anything successfully, and yet couldn’t outwit this phenomenon in nature. Now, because they produce this calendar every year, these farmers are also consulted regularly as experts in this field, which is interesting because they report routinely receiving confirming anecdotal evidence from other farmers, “Whenever the weather is fine and sunny on Good Friday and Holy Saturday and the soil is dry, we always receive letters from discontented farmers and gardeners who have little understanding for these unfavourable times in the calendar.”

At the end of the article, the author does not attribute the low yield observations solely to Christ’s crucifixion, but rather he writes, “In ancient cultures when people still lived strongly with the forces of nature, the spring Full Moon was the time of mourning for the death of Baldur, Osiris and other gods. On the Sunday that followed they experienced the resurrection of those gods out in nature. The Crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ followed these ancient laws. The event which occurred nearly two thousand years ago between the sun and the earth continues to leave its mark on the earth each year at Easter time.”

Personally, I don’t see the influence of ‘other gods’. This evidence shows the ground is cursed (like Genesis 3:17) because of Christ’s crucifixion, and only Christ. The claims about ‘other gods’ having similar stories to Christ is debunked all the time by experts who actually read and translate ancient languages. See e.g., [link to www.sitchiniswrong.com]

So in the end, this observation (35-years of experiments confirm farm ground yields poorly on Good Friday and Holy Saturday) is just one more piece of evidence in the great collection of evidence for the Messiah.

Reminder for 2018 -- Good Friday and Holy Saturday begin this weekend.

The biodynamic calendar for 2018 has this Friday & Saturday totally blacked out (meaning that there is nothing beneficial to do in the garden, whether for root, leaf, flower, or fruit).

The planting calendar only picks up again on Easter Sunday, which is a day to nurture roots.

Matthew 15:13, "Every plant that my Father who is in Heaven has not planted will be uprooted."
Matthew 7:2 & 7:12 are a prophecy specific to you, "By the judgment that you judge, you will be judged. And by the measure that you measure, you will be measured.... Whatever you want a person to do to you, do also to them, for this is the law and the prophets."

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8

"But hear the parable of the seed.... And that which was sown upon the rock is the one who hears the word, and immediately with joy he receives it. But there are no roots in him, but he is temporal, and when there is distress or persecution because of the word, immediately he falls apart....But that which was sown on the good soil is he who hears my word and understands and he yields fruit, and produces some by the hundreds and some by sixties and some by thirties." Matthew 13:18, 20-21, 23.

No it is evidence that the earth is mourning the worldwide idolatry that occurs on those days as people eat swine and worship a mangod idol

The earth and plants are literally impaired and sickened by all of that idolatry

Friendly reminder today for GLP gardeners, homesteaders, farmers, ranchers, and cultivators.

Christ is King.
