on 1/13/1893 apparently 300 Marines landed in Honolulu, Hawaii.. to prevent the Queen of Hawaii from abrogating the Bayonet Constitution. But was said Marines were there to just protect American citizens.

Hawaii had almost no ability to defend themselves notwithstanding your point that they were literate and enjoyed modern amenities.

Hawaii, with all its beauty and pleasant weather, had a relatively small population, limited resources, and no heavy industry.

Perhaps I am more cynical than you, but I still believe it was only a question of when.

Not offhand. I learned about it while doing indepth genealogy research on my husband's family. I've read a lot of newspaper articles and personal accounts from that time period - things you won't find in standard history books.

It would be good to put it all together - may do that as soon as I get back into finishing up my research. I have to make a trip to the Bishop Museum on Oahu to fill in the missing names and dates. My husband's family is from a kapu (forbidden) genealogy line. The museum has the entire lineage in a book, owned by Kamehameha schools, that only descendants can view and no cameras but you can take notes. They had to hide the royal heirs because of assassinations and still do. Bernice Bishop was not the last of the Kamehamehas - that was an outright lie. There are many direct legitimate descendants of Kamehaneha the Great and a good percentage are nearly pure blooded kanaka maoli.

It seems so many have an agenda for this and that. Our world is completely out of control. It would be good to compile research just for your own information, Im thinking. It seems anything you, me or others try to do for good..is used against us, family or nations. Talk about feeling beat down. It seems that's what these groups want is to beat people into submission to become a One World Gov.. Put us all in a blender and make us one. Get rid of pure blood lines.. I think we can look at the UN being the root of the movement.

Before diving into Hawaiian royal genealogy, I had worked with some sovereignty leaders providing historical and legal research. I stopped when they turned to the UN for help and warned them it was a trap.
