my state implemented voter id laws. i was so pleased when they asked for my license last time to vote. i told them how great i thought it was, and they said "well, you're about the only one. everyone else has been complaining about it".

many of the "poor" minorities in this town apparently don't have i.d. and "can't get one", but they will damn sure find a way to have all their info when their signing up at the free phone tent....or at the liquor store....

Not true. I saw with my own eyes working as a scrutineer in the election won by Paul Martin how vans full of refugee claimants arrived to vote, showing a drivers license to register, many were speaking Spanish, and since I understand Spanish, I heard them talking about not being citizens, I protested to the Elections Canada officer and was told that it is ILLEGAL to require proof of citizenship at the polling station. Not only did I almost get ejected from scrutineer duty, but not one of the other parties backed me up. There were lots of irregularities at that polling station. When the polls closed scrutineers were locked out of the count for 1/2 hour. The liberal won the station but lost the riding to the NDP. At the time I was working as a translator for refugee claimants, and I found out later that most of them were signed up by the Liberal party and voted. I hate to burst your balloon AC, but this has been going on in Canada for many years, and as far as I can tell, ALL of the major parties do this to boost their vote count. They all talk about electoral reform, in my opinion the best first step is to issue voter ID to people who can prove citizenship and require everyone to show it at the polling station to be eligible to vote.

Canada has similar to your comments above, it is still possible to cheat but admittedly more difficult than in the US.

election laws in the US are ridiculous and the left have used them to undermine the country for many decades if not since day one.

The Democrates get elected into office by illegals and poor people. They promise them the world in return for votes. Thus, they pour them into the country, allow them to vote, and fight for thier rights so they can stay in office.

Not difficult at all, as I wrote in my earlier post. After that election I lost all illusion that we have fair elections, I was bullied by the Officer who is supposed to be impartial and ensure the legality of the vote. All for pointing out that non citizens were voting. That was years ago, and it's only gotten worse. It would be easy to get people their ID. You know how we are asked on our income tax forms if we want to be on the voter's list? Our status in the country is also on the form, so it would be pretty easy to issue a voter ID to eligible voters.

The answer is Democrats.

Most other countries also have free healthcare and high speed unlimited broadband for a fraction of what we pay for slow limited access. And so on and so on.

They want no countries, no borders, no people with a national identity to resist them, etc.

Thus, they are trying to deconstruct the US as a country (e.g, no borders), open flow of people, and no requirements to participate.

In countries like Canada and Russia, you have to vote in your neighbourhood on a paper ballot. Your ID is checked and your name crossed off the voter list by poll clerks from your neighbourhood. Those same poll clerks count the ballots on site. They never leave the building. Representatives of the candidates watch the polls all day and watch the ballot counting.

There is an electoral reform movement in Canada that believes this is not democratic.

They want the system changed to proportional representation or to ballots where you number the candidates in order of preference.

Both these ideas would require mechanical ballot counting/rigging.

In simple terms, it's because we're actually more idiotically liberal in this one way than even stupidly liberal Europe and Canada are.

But the only ID required is a driver's license, which can be obtained without citizenship, even a refugee claimant (someone who has filed a claim but not been granted refugee status) or a permanent resident can get a driver's license. The driver's license does not state your legal status in Canada, they are issued by Provincial governments. You can get on the voter list if someone vouches for you, you show a driver's license and a piece of mail with your address. It is a piece of cake to vote without being a citizen. I have been trying to make Canadians aware of this since the Paul Martin election, and it always falls on deaf ears.

What's even worse, is the fact that a Spanish rockefeller company owns the voting machines we use, so all of our election results are sent overseas to a private company....this country is so fucked illegals are one of the least of our problems

Yeah, if you believe that, you are deluded. What about the robo calls, Pierre Poutine and Del Mastro? When I tried to point out the irregularities to the Officer at the polls, I thought the Conservative reps would back me up, but they didn't. The scrutineers from all of the other parties including the NDP sided with the officer. ALL of the parties engage in shady election practices, and none of them are really interested in doing anything about it, they just talk the talk at election time and then forget about it until the next one.
