Tonight, the Democrat Party made itself irrelevant, lost the midterms, and probably lost the 2020 presidential election
Point the first:

Here's what the Democrats did not clap for:

"The Democrats refused to clap or stand for:
-Tax reform
-National Anthem
-God
-Veterans healthcare
-Fair trading
-Stock market
-Infrastructure
-Families of gang victims
-A deal for Dreamers
-Immigration reform
-Funding the Military
-Low unemployment for African Americans"

Point the second:

Polls are showing yuge American support for Trump's speech

[link to twitter.com (secure)]

And more numbers: [link to www.cbsnews.com (secure)]

Point the third:

The Democrats have not one, not two, not three, but five responses to the President's speech. As Laura Ingraham noted on Fox News, this demonstrates that there is no coherent Democratic voice - the party is fractured, just as it was fractured immediately after the election.

Point the fourth:

Today, I left the Libertarian Party and joined the GOP. I will not be alone.

Point the fifth:

Trump surprised me. Truly. He anticipated precisely when the Democrats would jeer and what they would not cheer for. At several points, he turned to the Democrats and gestured in various ways to signal "Hey, here's what I've achieved/offered - why aren't you acknowledging this?" In particular, I noticed he did this on jobs, unemployment, black unemployment, tax cuts, wealth increases, and his immigration offer. Not only that, but when he began to discuss immigration the Democrats began to jeer - to which he responded by immediately moving to two Hispanic families in the audience whose daughters were killed by illegal immigrants. The Democrats immediately shut up, and there was not a single jeer for the rest of the speech.

Point the sixth:

Trump's speech was individualistic. As a foreigner, I want to highlight this, because it's an important point. America is an essentially individualistic country. Socialism, which emphasizes the collective as against the individual, is an aberration in American society - though loud, only a small percentage of Americans are genuine socialists. The Democrats only offer socialism now - group politics, group identify, group policies, group interests. It's all we heard from Obama for 8 years.

But Trump is an individualist. What he did tonight, most fundamentally, was stoke the fires of individualism. America is composed of individuals, and we can work and help one another. His guests were individuals who have achieved great things or suffered terribly - they are not numbers or statistics. Individual Americans are benefitting from tax cuts, the end of the Obamacare mandate, the booming economy.

Trump allowed individuals to believe and to hope again. Individuals can achieve success in America. Trump, in short, destroyed socialist or collectivist politics tonight (not ideology - politics). He tapped into the individualistic core of Americanism and preached it to a populace tired of collectivism and self-hate. I believe that this accounts for the tremendous success of the speech among Independents, who are essentially individualists, and even among a large number of Democrats.

Summary

It is my opinion that Trump just won the Republicans the midterms, assuming the Republicans don't screw it up. He has presented a vision and challenged the Democrats to explain why they aren't on board with that vision, despite his offers. He has also, by his success (which many Americans heard about for the first time tonight due to the partisan reporting of the MSM), demonstrated what can be achieved when freedom is restored and the energies of the American public are released. The Democrats, meanwhile, imploded: they demonstrated their anti-Americanism before the nation, have no coherent message, and sent out the slimy offspring of a 60-year old American legacy to lie to us.

I want to encourage Americans to join the GOP in order to participate in primary voting, and then to vote for pro-Trump candidates, and to preferably try to kick out incumbent Republicans. Then, in the midterms, vote GOP. In this vein, I want to especially ask Libertarians to consider switching allegiance - I am a Libertarian, and I have switched to the GOP. I'm happy to discuss my reasoning at length.

My mom is not very political. Very much in the middle and was confused about what the right choice was during the last election. Not at all a Trump hater, but not a supporter. She became a supporter today. She was really impressed. I think she has the mindframe of the average American and I can imagine a lot of other people out there were really moved by what he said.

Good news. I expect this will be replicated throughout the country. Hell, I just became a member of the GOP - I've been one of the most ardent Libertarians on GLP.

Trump is the real deal.

Criminals are going down.

The American People have dominated since its inception. The parasites were unrelenting for decades but now we will be free again.

Second revolution.

Excellent summary and call to action. While my observations matched yours, your commentary significantly sharpened my focus and clarified what I had yet to fully digest.

This speech was a necessary and prudent prelude to the upcoming avalanche of exposed corruption. We needed to be reminded of who we really are before being overwhelmed by what we were rapidly becoming.

It is not as it appears.
They have a win in what they were campaigning for.
They will take the credit for it and the never ending story of that same issue will continue on.
It did so when there was no such thing put into command, by EO or Congressional and Senate law.
It did so even after it was put into EO or temp law.

It is obtaining what it wanted even though it does so acting like it is unhappy with it and against it, this is only a prop display to get it un-noticed by those watching it.

Kamala Harris is not a Natural Born Citizen. She's illegally running.

Used by the Founders...
Book I of The Law of Nations, Chapter XIX, § 212 (Joseph Chitty numbering) – “Citizens and natives”
reads: 'The citizens are the members of the civil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to
its authority, they equally participate in its advantages. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in
the country, of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by
the children of the citizens
, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all
their rights.' 1758 Emerich de Vattel

Oh' What the Hell, do I look like I want to die in some nursing home one day...
America must have 4 new Constitutional Amendments...
1. Drug Tests and Mental Evaluations on all politicians and judges randomly five times per year.
2. Term Limits for Federal politicians and judges.
3. Mental and health standards for Supreme Court Justices and retirement age set.
4. A 'Star Chamber' of elected Natural Born Citizens (no attorney's) to ivestigate, try, and prosecute the politicians and government employee's as they see fit.

Mandatory death penalty by public hanging is the merciful sentence for pedos and their associates.

Democrats are a WMD, literally.
