Does anyone have experience with Deep Vein Thrombosis?
I injured my ankle 20+ years ago and throughout the years from that injury the veins in my right leg have become enlarged and moving upward, now my knee feels like someone smashed it with a ball peen hammer. I have been telling my doctors for the past 7 years that I feel that it is due to that old injury, but it is as if they do not want me diagnosing myself.

My doctor was treating it as gout, but the meds he gave me made it worse. I have an x-ray appointment on Thursday. It hurts so darn bad that even my pain meds do nothing. HELP please!

Stay off that leg and elevate it as much as possible. Warm wet compresses help (you can buy a heating pad that has that feature)

Deep vein thrombosis can kill, but you seem to be aware of that. If you have it you need blood thinner right away. Try to get another doctor. Or just walk in to an ER to get some attention. Do not mention your current doctor if you want another opinion.

Bromelain.

An enzyme from pineapple that dissolves blood clots. Take it, or eat a bunch of pineapple. You'll feel relief within a couple days. It will clean out your arteries and veins.

The white inner skin of oranges will help with vein walls. Eat the white pulp/skin.

You post on here about medical symptoms but you don’t do your own research and contact a doctor that will listen to your concerns? C’mon man.

My wife experienced a bout with DVT. She spent a week in the ICU and was touch & go for a few days.

She was put on Xarelto as a blood thinner which she will take for life. She had a lingering clot in her leg which they checked on annually, told her it would likely be there for life.

Well, 3 years after her DVT incident, it was still there at her annual exam, despite the medication. Then, our state legalized MMJ. She began using that regularly to address another health issue. Very curiously, on her most recent checkup on her DVT which she was told would never go away... no evidence of it at all, after 2 years MMJ.

It would be nearly impossible to prove that the MMJ was the active factor in the clot dissolving... but we have no other explanation and her doctor is equally mystified. I would never suggest anything illegal, but OP if this is an option for you, it may be worth investigating.
