I have lots of guns but I have never named them. I always thought of them as tools that are semi-disposable. Because I shoot a lot, I can wear out a gun pretty fast (depending on what I'm shooting--for example, I have a Rem Model 7 chambered in 270 WSM that came with a stainless barrel which lasted about 3000 rounds before the first 1/3 of the bore became completely smooth. It still held a decent group but I had to swap the barrel in order to keep having maximum fun with it).

I do have some old trusty guns that just keep on giving though. I can't seem to wear them out.

We prefer the term hunting. That way the doc will know that we accidentally shot you. They tend to get pissed if you gut them before they make it to the hospital. Just sayin, . . .

True story. My D-I-L had her iPad stolen. All her business info, Pinterest, etc. on it. She got out her iphone & did the "find my iPad" thing. It was around the corner in the alley. She got out her CCW, went around the corner, weapon drawn. Told the 2 guys with the iPad they had 2 choices - put down the iPad & walk away or wait on the cops with her (kind of like, let's talk about Jesus!) They BELIEVED! They left the iPad, and the area, quickly.
By the time the cops got there, she was back at her truck with the gun secured. Told them she found the iPad laying on the ground, like something had scared the thief.

She carries a much bigger gun than I do...
