CVS, Walgreens, etc. You don't need a prescription, but you have to pick it up at the pharmacy and show ID to get it (around here anyway). It works! Seriously, buy some tonight. A box of 60 caplets is around $15.00. ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Cheese is a huge contributor to making my asthma worse and so is milk chocolate. Ginger root and licorice root teas can provide some relief. Smelling eucalyptus oil can help to open your airways and spraying eucalyptus spray through your home will also help you breathe a little easier. Wishing for a quick healing response from your lungs. Saw that on a group of moms with kids who have asthma. I can't tell if it really works but I do it when there's a flare up. I also suction my kids nose three times a day. Try a nasal saline spray, when I have a cold it really helps. Or a netti pot. There is a tea i have heard of but have not tried yet. Check it out on Amazon and the reviews. It's on my wish list for now. Samahan tea. I Read SOmewhere Lavender Oil May Help. i Use It In A Diffuser, Along With Frankincense Oil. But i did read Eucalyptus oil May Aggravate Asthma. I Stopped Using eucalyptus oil tea tree oil and vicks. Sorry FOr The Caps In Every Word This Thing Is Doing It On Its Own And Takes Too Long To Correct it. best Of Luck, Asthma Is No Joke. When my kid Has A Flare Up i get no sleep at night. |

Quoting: WhiteAngel Have been doing mullein tea which helps but I am staying very tight with the breathing unless I am doing nebs every 2 hours or so. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Keep getting sick over and over which is only triggering the asthma more. I don't have asthma even though some doctors have tried to pin me as having it but anyway. I've got a deviated septum, and just found out through my own research that this can cause MAJOR problems including giving symptoms of asthma and causing me to get respiratory infections throughout the year. I will get surgery to repair that but in the meantime I found that ginger has caused my inflammation to decrease considerably and I swear to god I feel like I'm breathing easier. I have always felt a condition of shortness of breath but since starting ginger supplements, everything feels easier. They have given me many other positive side effects as well. So I definitely recommend these to anyone. I take 2 550mg a day with A ton of water. Even have increased my intake to 4 a day for the energy and overall feeling of wellness I get from them. Best of luck to you! Also! If you are coughing up flem throughout the day, check out Clarispray. When sick, I would be hacking up half a cup of flem a day. Nasty stuff. Took this nasal spray, and flem disappeared. 20 minutes, symptoms gone and lasted throughout the day. Last Edited by Ziipher on 02/11/2018 02:39 AM |

Can't remember if it's iodine or iodide (or if they are different), but read of a doctor noticing asthma subsiding in one of his patients when they started taking iodide. Wondering if there was a correlation, he started recommending iodide to other of his patients with asthma. They ALL improved! Something to try. |

They might be causing some reaction. Remember athsma puts a strain on your heart since it works overtime pumping. So you need to start from zero and see what works for you. There are many fine specialists who go the more natural way. But you need to get this fixed so you can breathe again. |

It really doesn't, it help to hospitalize me when I was a child and actually brought on attacks, it was blunt smoke too... Anonymous Coward User ID: 18704021 United Kingdom 02/11/2018 02:57 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A strong mint is good at clearing air ways and blocked mucus, I use them more than I use flu symptom products Sounds silly but it worked for myself, also as a child it was advised that I'd have gentle upper and mid back massage, as when you're coughing it tenses the muscles around your chest and makes it even tighter and painful Some vapour rub is also worth a shot but don't put it on your chest, if it's too strong you may find yourself gasping for air Wish there was more I could offer, but my asthma died out when I was younger, it was pretty bad for myself too nearly died and the Drs gave my mum a 50/50 chance of myself pulling through, I also had my own nebulizer, this was the 90's so you can imagine the size of it Drink plenty of water too. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 75207221 United States 02/11/2018 03:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Those albuterol are a shorter acting but should be done as ordered. Any increased frequency needs to be supervised, often in the office or hospital setting. Just saying, a neb treatment "opens the airways, by relaxing the muscle fibers" sort of like opening a door. When the door is open, you aren't opening it further by pouring more medicine in your neb. One more thing. Every cigarette you smoke, puts carbon dioxide on your hemoglobin that should be carrying oxygen. Once the carboxyhemoglobin Has formed, it takes five and a half hours for that hemoglobin to be able to Carry oxygen again. That is how long the bond lasts. So every time you smoke, you deny oxygen to your body. You do that to yourself. So just stop making it hard for you to breath. At least when you are having difficulty. Give yourself a breath of fresh air and quit poisoning yourself. Advice From an old RT Good luck, get out of your own way to feeling better soon. |

My doctor put me on several inhalers. She swore up and down that it was a seasonal allergy and I would have to use inhalers for the rest of my life. Some months later, (I'll spare the gross details) I discovered I had a massive tonsil infection that nobody had noticed. Once that cleared up, my "asthma" was gone, and all my inhalers went in the trash. |

Both of my children had severe asthma, so i know from first hand resaerch & experience what works. First, be sure youre taking a high quality vitamin c & D daily. Vit D is ultra important for healthy immune function and ,ost people Re dificient, especially in Northern states. Secondly, get a himalayan salt crystal lamp and leave it on in your home. It will ionize the air and help make breathing easier. Third, cut out dairy. It is mucus prodcing and if you have breathing issues, you will find that cutting dairy helps a lot. Finally, and perhaps most important, get the "NOW" brand of quercertin with bromeline. This supplement will help heal your asthma. It is a miracle suuplement. It is a bioflavanoid and will not harm you at all. Big pharma cannot make $$ from it, thefore it is not advertised. Do you own researc into the incredible effectiveness of it. My childrens asthma was cured with this protocol. Good luck to you!! |
