Actress and former Fox News commentator Stacey Dash is throwing her hat in the political ring.
Dash filed paperwork today with the Federal Election Commission to run for Congress as a Republican, seeking the 44th Congressional District seat in California. It is currently held by Democrat Nanette Barragan.

Dash worked for Fox News until 2016, when her contract was not renewed following an on-air incident in which she cursed while describing Barack Obama.
