I don't ever take anything at face value. They know that everytime there is a hint of a gun ban that we all go out and buy record amounts of whatever gun they are going to ban.

As many of you are keenly aware, the United States is currently involved militarily around the world. Many of you can see that a world war is approaching us. It is unavoidable. Those in power know this too.

China has stated it wants the land in North America, but not the people of North America. They want to inherit the infrastructure, but not the culture or social problems. War plans include mass utilization of disease/biological agents on the US population, followed by a mass invasion. China knows this will result in nuclear retaliation, and has prepared itself with underground living centers and uninhabited ghost cities. China accepts that there will be heavy losses on its side.

The US has chosen to respond by arming its citizens against invasion, in hopes that it will make the US a less appetizing target. If every inch must be a bloody fight, perhaps the Chinese will chose to invade Africa instead, or at least, first. Those in power know that they might not be able to use standard military or police forces to any effect in the invasion, due to mass losses from disease. They also have seen first hand the incredible effect that a small number of poorly armed rebels can achieve against an opposing force.

The US citizenry had previously been on a decline in gun ownership, running counter to warplans. How to solve this cultural shift?

They have chosen to call upon some of the most powerful motivators the human mind has. Scarcity, fear, protection of children, tribal identity, etc.

Scarcity: By constantly threatening gun control and regulation, attention is drawn to firearms, and they are made more desirable. Runs on guns and ammo. We have seen it time and time again. This way they get the citizens to pay for their own defense, while boosting GDP in the process.

Fear: You know this motivator. It needs no explanation. The fear of death is a powerful drive. By instilling a sense of insecurity in the populace (counter to declining violence statistics in the US), they raise the general anxiety level, causing the population as a whole to seek means of comfort from their fear. As the Gun sales have increased, you will notice that "preppers" have been increasing in prevalence. This is not by coincidence.

Protection of Children: This one should be obvious to the older Americans who were used to going out to play all day on their own without supervision, but to many, that is unthinkable today. By further fostering the protective instinct by eliciting fear of (for example: predators etc), and then using that increased protectiveness to create propaganda incidents where children are the primary victims, they can amplify the fear effect.

Tribal Identity: This is traditional left vs right American politics at its finest. The red side own lots of guns, the blue side doesn't. More gun control pressure will cause more red states to buy guns. Super, so how do they get the democrat population to buy guns?
1: By making them think they are under threat from the right, and violence is the only future option (Russiagate, antifa, "white nationalists" etc.)
2: Have them purchase weapons by proxy (arm the police and local authorities in their stead, if they wont buy them themselves).
3: And finally, what we have seen today! Roll them all together: Fear, identity, children, scarcity (in their case, scarcity of protection), etc. Make them aware that just because the authorities are armed, (and even present in the case of recent events) does not mean they or their children are safe! Make them fear, and eventually many will come to see weapon ownership in a different light.

Finally, sewing the seeds of distrust never hurts weapon sales. The Vegas shooting and recent school shooting have been so obviously (and intentionally) poorly done, that regular people are starting to take note. Questions will seep into their heads. Questions that make them fearful. And fear is a powerful agent.

The problem arises that China will be using AI and drones. When an area becomes active, they will just send in a drone strike and the resisters would be gone. Americans would be losing lives while the Chinese will be losing machines...

This will not be like a Red Dawn scenario with resisters crying out wolverines. Especially in the beginning...

We would have to blend in and let the enemy believe they have won. Then they would have their guard down and that will be the time for attack.
