The bill -- which includes a sweeping income tax cut -- cleared the state House on an overwhelming 135-24 vote, after being approved in the state Senate on a 44-10 vote. It now heads to the governor's desk. The final version dropped an earlier amendment that would have renewed a jet fuel tax exemption worth $50 million that was taken off the books in 2015. The rejection of the tax break for now, though, marked a swift rebuke from state lawmakers, who had been weighing the restoration of the benefit until this week. It was originally pitched as an “airline tax break,” rather than one that would only benefit Delta. But in the wake of the Atlanta-based airline’s decision to end its relationship with the NRA, Cagle, who is running to succeed Deal in November, warned that he would block any legislation that could prove to be beneficial to them. “I will kill any tax legislation that benefits @Delta unless the company changes its position and fully reinstates its relationship with the @NRA,” Cagle, who heads the Georgia State Senate, tweeted on Monday. “Corporations cannot attack conservatives and expect us not to fight back.” Now someone needs figure out how to shaft Wal-mart, Dick's and Krogers! Go to the stores, fill your cart or basket, or two, with expensive items from all over the store, wait in line at the checkout, let them ring it all up, then just walk away. |

Never know since he was a registered Dem at one time. His comments to date are not promising. |

Some 18 year old needs to sue them for discriminating against their constitutional rights. Beer and cigs are not protected under the constitution, but the right to bear arms is and until Congress changes the definition of LEGAL age, an 18 year old is legally allowed to buy a gun just like a 30 year old is. These corporations are discriminating against a certain age group's right to bear arms and I don't see how they can lose in court. The handgun issue was not an issue because rifles were not banned and thus, they could still "bear arms". But these three businesses just took that right away also and I don't think the SC would side with them on this. It's discrimination against a certain age group. |

Delta is spending millions on infrastructure in Atlanta that far exceeds a tax break. No chance. Board members and the CEO have fucked up. Now you will see backpedaling. Delta management was taken over by liberal Northwest Airlines management and now you are seeing the results. Keep pushing back. Contact Delta and tell them how you feel. |

If they were to do so I will immediately cancel my accounts. Kudos to the GA lawmakers for doing the right thing in standing up for the US constitution. This action shows soldarity with the fallen war heros who gave all in defense of our Constitutional form of government. |

Also, that tax break they were getting was pennies for them so I don't think they care very much. Add the losses from pissed off conservative business flyers and public, and it starts to add up. Stupid fucking decision to lie down with progressives. |
