Water crisis: Cape Town staring at dreaded Day Zero !!!1 Kings 18!!! Pray For Cape Town Today

Kings 18 is one of my favorite chapters. This chapter made me ask many questions and dig deep concerning Prophets.
The first verse God says this , Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth.

It has been over 3 years of no rain , as Elijah promised, he is not popular ....

3 And Ahab called Obadiah, which was the governor of his house. Now Obadiah feared the Lord greatly: 4 For it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the Lord , that Obadiah took an hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.

There are rules for the church concerning Prophets.
1 Corinthians 14:32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

Ephesians 20:20And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; 21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

God used and uses men and women. I thought about how God use Obadiah for one thing and Elijah for another , that is what He does.
God used and uses men and women for His purpose , I love how He used Miriam Exodus 15:20And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron.
Micah 6: 4For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of servants; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

I have long said we have lost the order and set up God intended. Most of our churches do not even know who is what but everything centered on one person. Who is the Prophet or Prophetess in your community? There better be more than one because of 1 Corinthians 14:32.

Where are the true Prophets during a drought, Cape Town , where are yours, are they hidden in a cave ?
5 And Ahab said unto Obadiah, Go into the land, unto all fountains of water, and unto all brooks: peradventure we may find grass to save the horses and mules alive, that we lose not all the beasts.

The animals are dying and Ahab wants to find grass not God for answers , that is what lost people do.

Obadiah runs into Elijah , that God had hid in this time of a drought. Elijah had a price on his head as he said it would not rain till God made it rain. The people got mad at Elijah , not themselves from turning away from God.
I saw today the people are fighting each other in Cape Town as the water runs out. Cape Town and other places can be found in this story and their answer are in this story.



Obadiah is in fear of his life, for telling Ahab Elijah is coming but he does it.

17 And it came to pass, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said unto him, Art thou he that troubleth Israel? 18 And he answered, I have not troubled Israel; but thou, and thy father's house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the Lord , and thou hast followed Baalim.
We are no different...

22Then said Elijah unto the people, I, even I only, remain a prophet of the Lord; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men.

There where at least another 100 Prophets but God is about to use Elijah to show the people Who is the one and only true God.
Job 38:28Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?

In the story of Moses and Pharaoh, there where some things false prophets could do but the limits are found in the pages of Exodus.
We have tried by seeding clouds and all kinds of silliness to bring rain that ends a drought but Only One can do that.
There was a false prophet that claimed he made it rain in Cape Town , but today they are fighting for water.
Read this whole scene of the water and fire it is amazing...
38 Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. 39 And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The Lord , he is the God; the Lord, he is the God.
45And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.

There is so much to see and learn about God in this story.

Job 37:13 He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.

The journey of my first bridge walk for rain showed me many things. While we may not be worshipping baal , we are not worshiping God found in this story or the Bible. We have done away God's control , His Prophets and Prophetess , unless they meet the worlds standards.
Pray for Cape Town. When I studied this story for my book , I was amazed how much action was done. People always ask me why did you walk bridges. I did it without question but when I was ask , I ask God and He gave me Jesus , our bridge to Him. I did what He told me that looked odd to the world … I do not find normal on the pages of the Word of God...
I am thankful I did not have to kill a bull , Jesus became our sacrifice , but I fear we have poured water and put out the fire of what that means...

We are a collective what is happening to Cape Town matters to us, Elijah had water that whole time . I am going to walk a bridge for Cape Town , I ask you pray today and call on this story and the God in this story and those people know Who brings rain and ends a drought.

The city is said to be heading towards Day Zero, when all the water taps will run dry. After Day Zero, residents of the city will have to queue up at 200 stations scattered around the city to collect 25 litres of water for their daily needs.
