There are often more factors explaining a certain phenomenon, so that means that both the sun and increased greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere could both explain away a lot of the variance of the phenomenon that is called global warming. So everybody's a bit right in a way. And for the people, who claim that an increase of 0,146% or whatever isn't a big deal should go back to school. Percentages should always be looked at in a time frame in which they occur, just as a previous poster pointed out. Personally I'm also under the impression that massive deforestation is a much greater contributor to the increased CO2 levels in the atmosphere than the burning of fossil fuels. Disclaimer: I'm in no way affiliated with the petrochemical industry, just that you know. |

I believe it is the primary mover behind this cycle of global warming. However, I'm pointing out that the measured increase of 0.146% in over 150 years is WAY less than what would be required for the wild claims of those who think the sun has changed brightness and color visibly. |
