WTF? Dog dies on United flight after being forced into overhead luggage compartment

This just pissed me off

So heartbreaking. The poor thing..it looks like a pug:(

I would never fly a pet on a commercial airline. Either pay a private charter or drive or stay home. If I found myself in that situation I would leave the plane with my pet. I hope the airline pays big. That poor sweet baby.

Unless it's a service dog maybe it shouldn't have been on a fuckin plane to begin with and if it's small enough to fit in a carrier it was likely only good for being punted anyway

On Monday night, a dog died in a plane after a United Airlines flight attendant forced the dog into an overhead bin.

Maggie Gremminger, a passenger on a flight from Houston to New York’s LaGuardia Airport, uploaded a photo of the dog’s owners on Twitter. “I want to help this woman and her daughter. They lost their dog because of an @united flight attendant. My heart is broken,” reads the image caption.

The Points Guy reports that during their flight, an attendant insisted that the woman put her dog, which was held in a TSA-approved pet carrier, in an overhead bin for the rest of the flight.

Passengers heard barking during the flight, but didn’t learn that the dog had died until the flight was over.

The airlines used to put restrictions on certain breeds of dogs and cats like pugs and Persians , those with short mussels because they can have trouble breathing even in pressurised spaces. The poor thing couldn't get enough air.

At least after it died the entire cabin was no longer subject to its yelping and whining. Such pathetic creatures are dogs, bred to the point of both physical and mental retardation. The only animal that needs constant human pampering even to survive, completely removed and isolated from nature's order. Blame the self-centerd, psychopathic owners for attempting to subject an entire flight of passengers to their psychosis and their retarded need to bring a dog onto a crowded plane.

Heartbreaking. Dogs have the mental capacity and emotions of three year olds. Imagine what this puppy was forced to experience until the poor thing just gave up and died. I will never fly United again.
