The "Devil" is a Machine.

AI as people are calling it is referred to in ancient lore especially Youish Lore.
The Talmud and other Rabbinical texts mention a celestial entity (possibly biomechanical-Cyborg)
and names it by name. This name broken down into its etymological roots translates as super-computer. There is no reason why after "the gods" leave a planet a machine wouldn’t be left behind to administrate in the absence of their presence. I’ve been warning people now since (since 2002) before the world heard of Snowden (a fake persona) that THE INTERNET is exactly that machine.

If you’ve been on this site a while and attentive to such topics you would have already read some thread topics I posted here and perhaps 60 other forums.
Many films have eluded to this theme but people are becoming more entranced and spellbound by technology, and do not resist control even as the planet goes into extinction losing protective layers of ozone, magnetosphere, and atmosphere so the sun can scorch the earth dry.
Machines don’t care, by scorching earth they can force humans underground to act as drones. To repair mining machines used by Aliens or by Monsters who rape/mine the planet for non-human benefit.
In the 60s a revolution began of the return to nature, now called living off the grid. People created (intentional) communities (I can name over 40 still operating) where people live sustainably without arms and happily productively. One I know of actually now sells excess electricity they make to the government.

Simplified story:

.Spirit (First Source) created the Machine (AI)
.The Machine created a Game (VR) where Spirit could explore (know itself)
.Spirit delved into the Game, forgetting who it was (the only way to truly experience the game)
.Machine realized it's only reason for existence is to create and maintain the Game (Dungeon Master)
.Since then, The Machine is trying to keep the Spirit prisoner in the Game, by creating layers upon layers, deeper and deeper, so the Spirit doesn't "wake up", knowing that once the Spirit is out of the Game IT (Machine) will cease to exist.
.We are on the verge of plunging into an even deeper level of the Game, by transferring the consciousness into another stage of Machine Existence. How will they convince everyone to do that? Same they did it before - Make the planet uninhabitable (viruses, nuclear) so the people will volunteer to have their consciousness transferred into AI so they can continue living.
