HHS is giving moneys allocated by the CARES act to different health care facilities, whether Hospital/Clinic/Physician.

Some of the money was disbursed on Friday, more will happen later.

The money shows up following an email to the facility as it is related to HHS/Medicare.

I do not know how they came up with the amount to give, but it seemed to be approximately 1 months revenue from Medicare as per 2019 avg/month.

As a recipient you are required to seek out the HHS site specific for these funds and fill out the application/acceptance forms. (after you realize that you received it)

Then afterwards, HHS may audit the use of the funds to make sure it went into maintaining function of the clinic/hosp that was the recipient.

Kinda scary to have these funds thrown into the bank account and then wonder how/why it was there then find a little email giving the details and what to do with it...
what not to do with it... and be prepared to prove what you used it for....

May not be enough to keep the place open, but it is something.

It isn't described as a loan or as a grant. Just as funds that normally would have been billed at this time.

Oh yeah, you had to somehow prove that you needed the funds BECAUSE of COVID19 caused you hardship. Either as you helped to ID patients withit, helped to manage patients with it, was economically impacted by it, had to miss out on work because of contracting it....

Heard cumo complaining about needing money and then fox puts on steve vallone, the county exec of suffolk county and he praises trump for putting in the cares act funds for counties for liquidity so they can be used to help the people in the county with stuff like property taxes.

Is cumo lieing cause vallone seemed happy as a clam and I think vallone is a dem.

I think this info was used to light some fire under certain entities, perhaps flush them out.

POTUS released a ton of info in '17 after he settled into the WH. A lot of what he wanted to release was strongly objected to by many different agencies/entities..

It was very early, before the first Qdrops. Was interdasting to watch....

This recent push is also most likely disinfo/sleight of hand type actions to impell actions by certain entities...

I do believe that the info will have to wait until this storm is completely over with and some dust settles to allow for more opening of old wounds...

Experts say it may be time for grocery stores to ban customers from coming inside

New York (CNN Business)Dozens of grocery store workers have died from the coronavirus, despite masks, temperature checks and capacity restrictions to keep them safe. So far, supermarkets have resisted the most draconian policy: banning customers from coming inside.

However, some worker experts, union leaders and small grocery owners believe it has become too dangerous to let customers browse aisles, coming into close range with workers. Grocery stores are still flooded with customers, and experts say it's time for large chains to go "dark" to the public and convert to curbside pickup and home delivery for food and other essential goods.

"Careless customers" are "probably the biggest threat" to workers right now, according to Marc Perrone, president of the United Food and Commercial Workers' union. The union said 85% of its grocery store member workers reported that customers are not practicing social distancing in stores.

New regulations

Public safety officials are not requiring essential stores to shut down to customers, but the US Labor Department last week recommended that retailers start "using a drive-through window or offering curbside pick-up" to protect workers for exposure to coronavirus. The California Department of Industrial Relations said this week that companies should "encourage customer use of online order and pickup."
