Yesterday, I announced my intentions to resign from my office. But shortly thereafter, the outpour of support I received was too great for me to ignore.

I will not allow the Democrats to bully me into submission. I will not let them win.

I will NOT resign.

This came to light about three days ago, the tweets are on the thread. The chinese company sent them to like twenty states for free and senator ted cruz' reaction was priceless. Allegedly they aren't sending data back to china, just like the zoom conferences weren't sending data back either, right.

This is where letting foreigners take over department in engineering schools and only hire other foreigners and only accept foreigners to their programs puts Americans at a disadvantage. There aren't, by design, enough American citizen engineers.

I lived the spy story. I know how it began and what’s coming. This was never an FBI run set up. This is why Brennan and his colleagues at MI6 are now feeling the heat. Focus on the foreign angle; not domestic anymore.

Here are various versions of Matthew 13 v34-43. It is interesting to me to see how bible verses have changed with time and translations. I like the Geneva version, but it is difficult to read, of course there is always KJV, but for everyday reading I prefer ESV. The 1933 translation from Aramaic is nice for cross reference and easy to read. I have also included the “New Living Translation” but I am not a fan of that one.

Geneva Bible circa 1560
All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables, and without parables spake he not to them,
That it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by the Prophet, saying, I wil utter the things which have bene kept secret from the fundacion of the worlde.

Then sent Jesus the multitude away, and went into the house. And his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

Then answered he, and said to them, he that soweth the food sede, is the Sonne of man, And the field is the worlde, & the good sede, they are the children of the kingdome, and the tares are the children of the wicked,
And the enemie that soweth them, is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the worlde, and the reapers be the Angels.

As then the tares are gathered and burned in the fyre, so shal, it be in the end of this worlde. The Sonne of man shal send forthe his Angels, and they shal gather out of his kingdome all things that offend, & them which do iniquite, And shal cast the into a furnais of fyre. There shalbe wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Then shal the ivstmen (?? difficult to read) shine as the sunne in the kingdome of their Father. He that hathe eares to heare, let him heare.

Cottage Bible circa 1841 & Oxford Bible circa 1890
All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of Man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Holy Bible translated from Ancient Eastern Text circa 1933
Jesus spoke all these things to the people in parables; and without parables he did not speak to them.
So that it might be fulfilled which was said by the prophet, namely, I will open my mouth in parables and I will bring out secrets hidden before the foundation of the world.

Then Jesus left the multitudes and went into the house; and his disciples came up to him and said, Explain to us the parable of the tares and the field.

He answered, saying to them, He who sowed good seed is the Son of man. The field is the world; the good seed are the sons of the kingdom; but the tares are the sons of evil. The enemy who sowed them is Satan; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

Therefore, just as the tares are picked out and burned in the fire, so shall it be at the end of the world. The Son of man will send his angels, and they will pick out from his kingdom all things which cause stumbling and all workers of iniquity. And they will throw them into the furnace of fire; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Then the righteous ones shall shine as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

New Living Translation circa 1996
Jesus also used stories and illustrations like these when speaking to the crowds. In fact, he never spoke to them without using such parables. This fulfilled the prophecy that said,

I will speak to you in parables. I will explain mysteries hidden since the creation of the world.

Then, leaving the crowds outside, Jesus went into the house. His disciples said, “Please explain the story of the weeds in the field.”

“All right,” he said. “I, the Son of Man, am the farmer who plants the good seed. The field is the world. And the good seed represents the people of the Kingdom. The weeds are the people who belong to the evil one. The enemy who planted the weeds among the wheat is the Devil. The harvest is the end of the world and the harvesters are the angels.

“Just as the weeds are separated out and burned, so it will be at the end of the world. I, the Son of Man, will send my angels, and they will remove from my Kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil, and they will throw them into the furnace and burn them. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the godly will shine like the sun in their Father’s Kingdom. Anyone who is willing to hear should listen and understand!

English Standard Version circa 2001
All these things Jesus said to the crowds in parables; indeed, he said nothing to them without a parable. This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet: “I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter what has been hidden since the foundation of the world.”

Then he left the crowds and went into the house. And his disciples came to him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field.”

He answered, “The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed is the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, and the enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the close of the age, and the reapers are the angels.

Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the close of the age. The Son of Man will send his angels and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.

Took a quick peak. It's interesting as roman catholics are only permitted to have roman catholic bible which means it has the imprimatur of the bishop and something else which I can't remember. It will be interesting to see if we are reading something different from other christians.

I think the Catholic Bible also includes the Apocrypha which is included in the Geneva version, which is what the Pilgrims, as far as I know, carried.

KJV circa 1611 (which the Cottage and Oxford, listed above, are also), The Aramaic translation, NLT and ESV do not include the Apocrypha.

The above is only a small example and all are fairly close, but small details matter.

Then answered he, and said to them, he that soweth the food sede, is the Sonne of man, And the field is the worlde, & the good sede, they are the children of the kingdome, and the tares are the children of the wicked,
And the enemie that soweth them, is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the worlde, and the reapers be the Angels.

As then the tares are gathered and burned in the fyre, so shal, it be in the end of this worlde. Since the topic for now seems to be bibles, it should be pointed out that the Catholic bible isn't some rogue version of the Christian bible. The Catholic version came out in 382 and was the only version of the bible until King James came out in the early 1600s. And there really aren't a lot of differences. King James left out a few chapters of the Old Testament from the original Christian bible, but very little else is different.
