Tracing...Tracking...??? Technically, Tracing is Back-Tracking. Like following a line of animal tracks in the snow backwards to see where it came from. I understand that privacy minded freedom loving individuals see it as an unacceptable intrusion. It may well be in a legal sense, but that would need to be ruled upon in the "Court System".

One thing is certain, the State or Federal "Authorities" doing the Tracing will screw it up. The same groups that can't manage to buy food from farmers that was contracted, and then simply transfer that food to Food Banks etc. The same groups that can't get "Stimulus" checks to people and loans/grants to small businesses, in a timely manner.

I understand the fear of an oppressive "Big Brother", but it really should be fearing an oppressive incompetent Big Brother!
 Quoting: Pine Marten

This. Anything in the wrong hands becomes dangerous. I'm not "anti-vaccine"... I'm anti-vaccine in the hands of incompetence & evil.

Like with the tracing... in the hands of competent medical professionals, that either make the contact with individuals sick people have been in contact with, or you, the individual do so... that's not so bad at its core.

But, you start getting apps and microchips in the mix and start an even more intrusive tracking system that goes beyond the fuckery of Google and multiple other platforms that already track...that's when it has to go.

It's the same with any other technology, idea, or invention... the danger isn't always in the process or the product, but the loons pulling the strings.

Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump

Why should the people and taxpayers of America be bailing out poorly run states (like Illinois, as example) and cities, in all cases Democrat run and managed, when most of the other states are not looking for bailout help? I am open to discussing anything, but just asking?

They shouldn’t. Let these states go bankrupt. Oregon too, their public employee pension fund has been insolvent for over 20 years. Bankruptcy is the only way out.

Governor Bullock in Montana is trying to get an emergency waiver to allow for fresh meat donations to the food banks. The USDA is who doesn't allow that from what I read. I think the current rules don't allow food banks to accept many types of perishable items such as dairy and meat. I would guess many farmers and ranchers would rather donate, if they can't sell due to their normal buyers cancelling orders, than just waste it but the bueracratic red tape won't allow it.

Part of the reason for culling the herds is the ranchers cannot afford to feed cattle they cannot sell.

I am seeing a lot of people suggesting the farmers and ranchers “donate” their meat, milk and crops to “food banks”. The already make almost no profit from what they do.

They cannot afford to take the financial hit. Plus, the food doesn’t just “show up at food banks”. The supply chain is incredibly complicated.

The schools had contracts with the institutional suppliers. Perhaps the public schools should be forced to take what they ordered, and then use the schools to distribute to the local level.

The problem isn’t the farmers. It’s the institutional buyers who suddenly didn’t want what they’d contracted for.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77151235

The schools should take AND PAY FOR what they ordered, I mean. But any food distribution must happen at the local level.

The taxpayer already agreed to pay for the food for schools, and perhaps should honor that contract with the food producers, instead of hanging the producers out to dry. Now, while it is still possible.

Lots of good articles about this kind of thing recently. Just not in the mainstream media. More in economics blogs, and then of course agriculture publications.

In reference to meat supplies in the USA - your local butcher shop is very busy - I'm in Wisconsin. Call your local butcher shop for meat - it's better than what you find in the grocery store.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76140145

In the NW Detroit burbs my local butcher was selling ground chuck for $2 less per pound than the local grocers according to the lady behind me. I was there to get other items, so I can't personally verify. I do have to say that the meat from the butcher is far superior to what the grocery stores have.

Flynn’s Former Lawyers Covington And Burling Turn Over Another Trove Of Docs, Again By Sara Carter -April 28, 2020

Covington and Burling LLP, the former defense team for former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, turned over thousands of more pages of documents to Flynn’s new defense team that should have been submitted more than a year ago. Last week, another batch of documents withheld by former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team on Flynn was turned over to his defense that allegedly reveals that the retired three-star general did not commit any crimes, as suggested by Department of Justice prosecutors.

This new batch of voluminous documentation turned over by his former defense team – which includes emails, texts, voice messages, notebooks, handwritten notes and legal documents – amounted to approximately 6,800 additional documents bringing the total amount of documents to roughly 669,800, along with attachments.
------------
Then Oops ...
"Tuesday’s supplemental notice, which was signed by Flynn’s former defense counsel Robert Kelner with Covington and Burling LLP, stated that the reason the documents were turned over so late to Powell was due to “an unintentional miscommunication involving the firm” information technology personnel had led them, in some instances, to run search terms on subsets of emails the firm had collected for its response to document requests United States v. [Bijan] Rafiekian, the case involving Mr. Flynn’s business partner and their FARA-related work through their consulting firm, rather than on the broader sets of emails that should have been searched.”

Agree completely. Not all vaccines are created equal, nor do they all do an equal job of their intended purpose.

I'm not an anti-vaxxer by any means, but when my daughters pediatrician started pushing the HPV vaccine I declined. Went and did some reading, don't really know why I did or why I declined at the time, something seemed off to me. It seemed like they were trying to sell me on getting the vaccine, and that by not doing so I was increasing the risk of cancer for my two girls, and I had to do it before it was too late.

Something that beneficial shouldn't need a sales pitch dripping with fear mongering.

So through reading, turns out the HPV vaccine is far from effective that they can prove, the first version caused a lot of problems and had to be discontinued, and there are serious questions within the medical community as to the efficacy of it.

I don't get the flu shot, and since they got past 10 years old I stopped having my girls get it. The efficacy is very low (again, by what can be proven) and the vaccine only helps with a handful of flu virus mutations as compared to the hundreds that are floating around at any point in time.

I believe that a person can decline a certain vaccine or vaccines without being an anti-vaxxer.

Through my reading I also learned about the drastic over diagnosis of cancer (specifically breast, prostate, and cervical) due to "routine" mammograms/prostate checks. It goes like this...most people have cancer cells in their body. All the time. Some grow and spread rapidly, some very very slowly. Slowly enough that they will never affect the individual in any real way. However, the testing can't differentiate between the "fast", "slow", or "inbetween". They can't quantify if that cancer is or will be actually harmful. So, once they say you have cancer, then bring on the chemo/mastectomy/etc which in many cases was not medically necessary. Then you add in the complications from those unnecessary treatments/procedures and people that died from that....it's kinda scary what the medical profession(s) are capable of.

Don't know where I was going with all this. Anyway, everything I've seen says that any vaccine they come up with for COVID19 most likely won't be very effective, and has a high potential for causing many more problems than it is trying to solve. I won't be getting it, even if they make it mandatory.

If that happens, it's time to march on DC and kick the traitors to the constitution out.

Glen beck just said the video of the two doctors, the ones laura ingram interviewed last night and then their video was taken down, that video had 5 million views.

He's having another doctor on and he's saying will this doctor also be censored for his opinion?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70316124

The interview Glen did with the guest doc he had on needs to be posted. He had lots of info on the C virus and told us it has a gift that keeps on giving. This virus can be treated and cured but it leaves its victims with an autoimmunity problem. It leaves survivors with something that will create an auto immune disease. He said those must be diagnosed very early at the end of the C virus or they will not be curable. It was a worthwhile interview to replay.

I remember where I was going.

If the medical community and pharma companies want us to take all the vaccinations, then they should submit to scrutiny and testing like all other medications we take.

They currently don't and aren't required to.

They should also be liable for "mistakes" that cause damage to individuals. Just like Pfizer was liable and responsible for the deaths of people who took Vioxx, those same pharma companies should be liable for mercury poisoning from a vaccine they developed and administered that had mercury levels way above the FDA guidelines for any other medications or food. As should the Dr.'s who administer the shot. They should have a stake in doing things that hurt people.

I work on airplanes. If I don't research a job or do a job properly, I am personally responsible for any incident or accident that comes from it. I take that very seriously.

I think too many (not all, there are lots of good Dr.s out there) Dr.s have become pill and shot pushers. That's what they do, that is their every day, all day. The pharma sales people come in, and tell them all about this new drug, or this new vaccine, and hey if you sell X amount you'll get a kickback on top of it. They tell the Dr's the research is all good, very little side effects, etc.

So the Dr's just go along and start pushing that drug/shot.

Hannity has done things like the book issue off and on for years. He gets real close to a subject matter that looks like it is about to boil over .... then it doesn't boil over just yet.... so, he backs off with a diversion like a new book on the market.

Hannity does a great job, I just personally can't listen to him as he is always at a constant level of "The Sky is Falling" reporting... Not that he isn't covering good info, just always at the level of "REEEEEEEEEEEE"

I listened to him during the W / Kerry election, and thought that he was doing great at getting people to realize that "THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION IN OUR LIFETIME"....

then it was the same for the next 3 elections... never changed.

I guess good for redpilling, but not so much for those who are already redpilled.

That made me literally LOL!

Perfect description! I can't listen to him anymore, he just wears me out.

And now, every night, each episode... he refers to it as "this special edition of Hannity".

House reverses plan, will not return to Washington next week

House leaders on Tuesday reversed course on plans to bring the chamber back into session next week amid fears about whether it is safe to return to the Capitol during the coronavirus pandemic.

Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) announced the change in plans after initially saying the day before that the House would return the following Monday, citing discussions with the Capitol physician, who warned that the Washington region has not yet flattened its number of coronavirus cases.

"We will not be meeting next week," Hoyer told reporters. "The House physician's view was that there was a risk to members that was one he would not recommend taking."

Hoyer said that House leaders will instead wait to call members back to Washington when the next round of coronavirus relief legislation is ready for a vote. House members have gathered en masse in the Capitol twice in the last several weeks since the social distancing restrictions began to vote on bills to respond to the crisis, but only returned in session for a day at a time.

Hoyer acknowledged that it would be more "dangerous" for lawmakers to stay in Washington for extended amounts of time, like they typically do, than it is for members to be in the Capitol for a short period of time

"So under those circumstances, we have decided that we will not come back next week, but we will come back very soon to pass the [next] piece of legislation. And at that point in time, we will be asking members to return to Washington," Hoyer said.

A bipartisan task force including Hoyer, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and the leaders of the Rules and the Administration committees have been discussing ways to conduct votes and committee business virtually while it remains unsafe for lawmakers and staff to gather in large groups. Hoyer said that the group would be in talks later Tuesday on potential options.

"We are going to be working in the interim on trying to facilitate committees meeting in a real way, but virtually, and provisions for the House of the Representatives to meet if in fact members cannot come back because of the virus," Hoyer said.

The Senate is still planning to reconvene in May. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said on Monday that the upper chamber would reconvene the next Monday and "modify routines in ways that are smart and safe." A McConnell spokesman confirmed on Tuesday that plans for the Senate had not changed.

Washington, D.C., remains under a stay-at-home order through at least May 15, along with many other states from which lawmakers would be traveling.
