One thing about the last one, you can buy patterns and cloth and thread and make you own clothes to fit just you. It will be different according to what they create to take the place of the dollar how ever they do it with the New SOFR. This is trading for equal worth as it used to be. I hope just in time is going out the window, too. To bad my husband die in January, this he wanted to see happen. We never got more worth no matter how hard we worked, the inflation and taxes got us. That all utilities, food and clothing and getting to work, forget vacation out the window. You just do not get the difference I do. It really will not hurt the rich they will still have more money than their neighbor, hopefully they will be as nice to their workers as they were during the industrial revelation. They will not have inflation or deflation, easier to pay off some bills and save for down payments for what you need, that a blessing, it lowers the overhead, all the prices drop back to a better and manageable government fix. They have to lower loans or do something different. I do hope they figure it out soon, I would love to see something I saw years ago, even if only I was seeing it, a new Hundred dollar bill with Untied States Treasury 100 dollar bill, that would be something to have this one, full backed by the US government, full faith and credit of the US and coins from the MINT, not the Federal Reserve they are a bank they can be private bank for that is what they are. This I do believe would do a very good thing for everyone. I hope so anyway. Just so they do not panic if it happens, the change from it sure hurt badly, going back will be a shock with out some thing people are use to, over consumerism will die. That what is bad about a king or anyone or group where you do not have the rights of the people under God and the people is under that. It how it works best for the people, safe for the people. There really is not as many firearms death as there are car accidents and deaths. This is one that I understand, we had cars that used to be made out of metal and they were much safer than the new material and people death a lot in car accident. Just to think if they had left one carburetor for a car, on the market, those car would have gotten 100 miles to a gallon. Crazy they took the off the market so they could keep sale more gas and oil and did not save the environment and peoples lives. There would have been cars to sell and people do wear cars out if they do not take care of them. I thought I would leave this little part of history, from experience I lived through, one thing about being old and having a pretty good memory, this little detail can be passed on. I do wish I knew which carburetor it was, I might be able to find the patent it should be off the years for release. 100 mile to a gal. in a good safe car or truck. Since you work in finance, how practical is it to expect to use gold as a commodity/currency during a 'reset', as she suggests? How will you get change for what you are purchasing? Wouldn't silver be much more practical for that use? Bingo on silver. If SReallyHTF, small silver coinage would serve as a means of exchange. Not only are Mercury dimes purty, they are easily recognized, and yet too small to really run the risk of counterfeit. Fun fact: a gal of gas in 1960 was roughly a dime. Today, the silver content of a 1960 dime would buy a gallon of gas! May it never get to this point.... The people/circumstance for whom gold makes sense are mostly retirees with most of their income (now and God-willing future) coming from pensions. In our scenario modeling**, where equities took a 50% hit in 2008, we figure EVERYTHING will take a 50% hit in the next crisis. Crucially, equities will rebound (just like 2008, and every panic before it); BONDS (especially sovereign) will not. In that scenario, if gold is part of what is "Next", and it has to offset the ridiculous money printing of the last 30 and especially 10 years to rebalance the system, a 5x if not 10x or even 20x reval on the price of gold would be reasonable. A small percentage of gold would then offset the permanent write off to a chunk of a retiree's nest egg. **not financial advice, just scenario discussion. Tldr: keep eggs in more than one basket. Guess they all had to go on their lobbyist paid spring break trips and putting off the vote and demanding to read the bill was not an option. Saw die hard conservatives criticize President Trump for signing the bill saying "they were brow beating him to sign it and he just wanted to get out of there and get to mar a lago"> He didn't have to sign it right away, he tweeted he might veto it and then boom, he signed it and devastated so many folks. So, what he succeeded in doing is devastating the q anon folks who wanted to see him hold off on the signing and read the bill. It still hasn't been satisfactorily explained and folks in the back of their mind are waiting for the disappointment of the swamp not being drained and their hopes dashed. If you read twitter feeds you'll see the tone has changed somewhat, people are more guarded in what they say. |
