That's very bad, but everything else he has done seems to wilt away because the media refuses to talk about it! Seems the media has a giant stake on who and what will get noticed and acted upon!

Thankfully there is a growing trend of actual push back on the whole EV push. It's coming from environmentalists, scientists, car people, etc.

And it is based on real world tests, experience and data. Previously it was based on suggestions and hypotheses that it won't work, but tests like the above show just how bad the whole idea is.

Hopefully it will lead to lower and lower sales of EV's.

Really, who wants a pick up truck that has it's range reduced by a 2/3 to haul something, and takes 45 minutes to charge at a "fast charger"?

What all of the testing (outside of the manufacturers) shows is exactly what I (or any decent electrical engineer) already knew: batteries are not scalable the way that internal combustion or turbine engines are, and the energy density per kogram of the best available battery is nowhere close to that of an internal combustion engine with a full fuel tank.

Sure, that Tesla model 3 can go 300 miles on a full charge. With no passengers or cargo, under perfect conditions, without the AC or heater running.

And even under those super optimal conditions, it still takes 40+ minutes to recharge.
