Greenland shines brightly in the rare earth spotlight A positive confluence of events is creating a perfect market moment for emerging Greenland rare earth developer Greenland Minerals (ASX: GGG). [ link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] North Korea is thought to have tremendous potential metal resources (and particularly rare-earth metals), which have been valued in excess of US$6 trillion by the South Korean national mining company. There is much investment from Chinese mining companies, with an estimated $500 million investment in the last 11 years. 41% of all Chinese companies trading in North Korea are involved in mining. China has been buying up rare earth metals for years. Were they going to 'hold us over the rare earth barrel?' Without those metals, our tech cannot be built. We must have them. Hence Greenland makes sense, as does NK. This is related to our competition with China for sure. We will begin building tech at home.
