This country was being threatened with the same thing. It was about the time Daddy Bush was in power, I think. I remember thinking those plans were thoroughly stupid and treasonous! This kind of thing is what Pres Trump has interrupted. All the agreements, such as the NAFTA, were happening all over the world. Then the smaller groups were to be added to larger groups until there were just a few huge conglomerates, that were once independent countries, would exist. Everyone, manufacturer, business, and private person would be subject to rules and reg written for everyone. No matter what standard of living or quality of products, all would be the same.
If you made vitamin C your product could not be stronger than the product of the weakest nation in your group. Your Vit C may have to stop at 250 strength.
Everyone could sue you. Your country could not protect you from some other country. Your judicial system would be harmonized with all others.
Our Military, all, would swear an oath to the UN. Some of our troops were taken and integrated and many of them refused to wear the Blue helmet saying they swore to uphold the US Constitution, not NATO or the UN!
