Rare Harvest Moon to Appear This Friday the 13th

NASA says if you plan to watch the sky for the full moon, then the best time would be early Saturday, Sept. 14 around at 12:33 a.m. if you live in the eastern time zone but if you live anywhere else in the U.S., the moon will be its fullest before midnight on Friday the 13th!

Adding to the fun, this upcoming full moon will also be a micro moon, according to the Almanac. This means the moon will be at its greatest distance from the Earth, appearing 14 percent smaller.
