I understand your position. I wonder if the State goes full Commie (which I think is about there now) do you think they will awaken? Are they just so accustomed to this kind of treatment that they think it has to be this way?
I always felt doubly sad when the North East fell into the liberal trap because that was the birthplace of the nation. The original settlers found out early on that the old English way of life didn't work here. The farmers became independent and Capitalist. Everyone prospered then.
I know the political machine is so entrenched in those states, it most likely is a revolving dynasty like California. Anyone who doesn't serve the masters, in the well managed, old money groups, will never have a chance. It would take a revolution within the revolution to get rid of the old growth for a Conservative. Sad really for all of us. Cancer grows to overtake an entire organism and this is how I see the governments locally in places such as the North East, Chicago, California (and its four ruling families,) and look at the mess in Oregon.
At this rate we will be slowly digested by those who have been screwed up so terribly by the schools, that have been allowed to become Communist by these very groups who rule state dynasties, and intend that we are changed to that ideology .... forever. Did you ever see a vid of Khrushchev pounding his shoe on the table at a meeting in the UN, shouting to the Americans, "We will bury you without firing a shot!" That was a long time ago.
