Miami braces for storm surges and 80mph winds as Hurricane Isaias lashes the Bahamas while forecast shows storm barreling up the East Coast towards the Carolinas and virus-ravaged NYC

-Florida officials said they were closing beaches, marinas and parks in Miami-Dade County beginning Friday night
Mayor Carlos Gimenez said the county has 20 evacuation centers on standby
