Oh gosh, on May 1st I lost my vision glaucoma related. After emergency surgery, regained about 20_30%. Over time little better each day. Thank God for iPad n able to stretch and able to read. cataract surgery begins in August so hope to be driving again in September. Thankful for strides in modern medicine and smart, knowledgeable, regular people. Have learned a lot and how to build a thicker hide - daily!
Quoting: ChiaPet Oh crap! I'm glad you can see something!* I pray for your speedy and complete recovery!!EDIT: *I'm sure YOU are too! Quoting: WGON All my angels, Chia!! Eat well, reduce stress except fhis thread lol and my thoughts are with you!! Quoting: MidnightMoonlightLady I didn't have any problems with my eyes cataract surgery and very happy being able to see out of my eyes once again. I had both done within a week other, both are fine now. I doesn't take long for the healing either. Quoting: hankie That is good to know! I’m my sister’s caretaker again for her third and last time fighting cancer. Just got her on hospice last week (which is why I’ve been absent so much lately). In the middle of this, I got away for a regular eye check up for chorio-retinitis (it’s sort of like macular degeneration. Bleeding in the back of the eye creates the same holes and wavy lines as MD). Luckily, that situation is stable - but they told me I need cataract surgery in both eyes. They want them about a month apart but it was tricky scheduling when caring for one who is on hospice. So I put it off for late October and - on November 3rd (Election Day, haha!). So glad it was a breeze for ya. SO sorry you lost your eyesight, Chia. Many blessings to you as you deal with the challenges it brings.
