There are cures for many medical issues that we, the common people, are not privileged to have. They are available to the elite .... after all they are special and we could not live without them. The aids cure .... given to Magic Johnson .... various Cancer cures .... ask Jimmy Carter .... and multitudes of other cures for other problems.
When Pres was preparing to become president he intended to bring 60 or so patents with him to give to the country and subsequently the world. The Dims went crazy and wrote rules and regulations intending to tie everything up in Red tape until we would never see any of them. Things like meds for disease, clean energy that doesn't poison the Earth .... whatever .... 60 or so of them. Perhaps one day, if we can subdue the criminals, we can have some of those marvelous things.
There are things other than horrible harvest products that can give a better quality of life. The human body, at this time anyway, is genitally engineered to have a lifespan of 125 Earth years. Not many make it to the limit but we should enjoy life well into old age and not suffer from the maladies we do now. I am surprised Ruth didn't get a cure. Perhaps they all are not perfected as yet.
