Kelly really failed as chief of staff and POTUS was nice enough to keep him on when probably POTUS was giving him busy work and others were picking up his slack or even POTUS himself. Think he got angry when he realized he was wholly out of the inner loop despite his title. That's happened to a lot of these folks. They have an inner loop title and think they have access to it all and then something comes out and they realize that POTUS has very carefully cut them off and out of things they should have known about. Must be lots of crying among these folks realizing POTUS outwitted them, again.
