The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Daily posted a video on its Weibo account on Monday, showing soldiers “in multiple waves” practicing “capturing the beach.” The video shows soldiers storming the beach using small craft, breaking through barbed wire and other obstacles, digging trenches in the sandbar, and practicing fighting through a forest. The drills were carried out “in recent days,” according to the PLA, at a range in Fujian province, the closest portion of the Chinese mainland to Taiwan. It was clear the video was not from Monday, as it shows clear skies and calm seas, while the area is currently affected by wind and rain from the tropical storm Kompasu, passing south of the island. Fujian is just 180 kilometers across the sea from Taiwan, an island which China considers part of its sovereign territory, but which has been ruled by nationalists who retreated there after losing the civil war to the Communists in 1949. ... .... .. The editorial, published as part of a special edition dedicated to the forthcoming COP26 climate summit in Glasgow, Scotland, says that medical treatment contributes significantly to “greenhouse gas emissions” and that this carbon footprint can be reduced if only “health professionals” can learn to reduce “overdiagnosis” and “overtreatment”. Healthcare contributes 4-5 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions. In the NHS, 62 per cent of these emissions are from its supply chains and 24 per cent from delivery of care. Health professionals can be institutional leaders who drive decarbonisation in hospitals through reducing overdiagnosis and overtreatment in healthcare, eliminating waste, streamlining services, and better managing suppliers and procurement. User ID: 77593783 United States 10/11/2021 06:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Get rid of religious exemptions for vaccines Quoting: The Natural One Faith should not take precedence over community protections against a mortal threat The First Amendment does not guarantee a right to a religious exemption to vaccines. In fact, the U.S. Supreme Court first established in a late-19th century case, which involved polygamy among members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, that the First Amendment protected religious beliefs but not necessarily actions that stem from those beliefs. No less a conservative than Justice Antonin Scalia, writing for the Supreme Court majority in a 1990 case that involved two Native Americans who were fired from their jobs and denied unemployment benefits after ingesting peyote during a religious ritual, observed that enforcement of general rules that apply to all members of a democratic society “must be preferred to a system in which each conscience is a law unto itself.” The Supreme Court has vacillated on its interpretation of the First Amendment’s free exercise clause, but even in its more permissive decisions it has acknowledged that the government might have a compelling interest in enforcing laws even when they preclude certain religious practices. Colorado requires students to be vaccinated for measles, mumps and rubella, but it allows an exemption if the student “is an adherent to a religious belief whose teachings are opposed to immunizations or has a personal belief that is opposed to immunizations.” That applies to anyone, basically, who doesn’t want a vaccine and is willing to say so formally. Colorado is one of only 15 states that allows for exemption based on a personal belief, and not just a religious one. The state mandate for COVID-19 vaccines similarly allows for a “religious exemption.” About 800 Colorado health care facilities recently submitted a religious waiver request, and, as of Friday, 883 staffers in the Colorado Department of Corrections have submitted nonmedical vaccine exemption requests, a Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment spokesperson told Newsline. In addition, federal rules in some cases require vaccine-mandating employers to make accommodations for vaccine refusers who claim “a sincerely held religious belief.” All of these exceptions should be abolished. Bloomberg Reporting More than a Million Mega-Bags of Coffee Have Spoiled at Sea. Time to Wean Yourself Away! I cannot even provide you a link yet but this is being reported by Jack Posobiec, who has access to Bloomberg's very expensive private news feed for brokers. Quoting: Vituperate Bloomberg is reporting to their private clients that the coffee supply (we don't farm coffee in North America) is collapsing in America. Huge container ships cannot off load their coffee and coffee spoils very quickly in the heat and is now turning rancid. More than a million mega-bags of coffee have been ruined. There is an emergency effort being considered to try to salvage what they can via a water off-load but it is unsure if they can pull this off. I just went to Amazon to order my favorite coffee, (Roy's Hawaiian Coffee) and their were only 14 bags left. I bought 2. It is unlikely we will be able to ever see this coffee again...at least for the foreseeable future. Can you imagine an America without access to coffee? Will this finally be enough to wake up the sheeple? They used to fly coffee in from South America on cargo planes, when did they stop? Fox News examined what appears to be Diana Toebbe’s Facebook page, Twitter account and Instagram page, and found repeated posts supporting the Black Lives Matter movement, including a profile picture reading, "Black Lives Matter," and a post last year celebrating the social media protest against racism called "#blackouttuesday." Jonathan and Diana Toebbe were arrested Saturday in West Virginia, according to a criminal complaint detailing espionage-related charges. The government said Jonathan Toebbe sold information for nearly the past year to a contact he believed represented a foreign power, but was actually an undercover FBI agent. They should not worry .... Biden will have them out in a few days. |
