Rep. Mark Meadows Flags Another 'Troubling' Page-Strzok Text Message

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) is tweeting about a newly revealed July 2016 text message between FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page that in his words, "show a troubling reference to former FBI Director James Comey potentially intervening in the 2016 election."

That July 2016 text -- from Page to Strzok -- begins: "Ha. First line made me smile," and it includes a link to a July 25, 2016 article on the Lawfare website.

The article's first line that prompted Page to say "ha" reads: "Potentially unpleasant news for Jim Comey: We need you to intervene in the 2016 election again."

"To be clear: these are two high level FBI agents who appear to be discussing/laughing about the FBI Director potentially getting involved in the 2016 election--just days after the 'Russia investigation' into the Trump campaign had begun. The timeline here is concerning."
