Closing schools nationwide!

This could put a definite end to mass school shootings once and for all and protect the second amendment in one huge move. It may take time to get the ball rolling but the end result could very possibly be worth the time , effort and money. In fact a lot of money could possibly be saved at the same time.

God forbid people who didn't go to school might think for themselves or something.

It would definitely be better than some of the current solutions and a lot of children could benefit from such a move however.

I say live stream the teachers class and the kid can be watched from a parent at home and mabe the parent can learn stuph too. If the teacher has a problem with that then just mabe she has something to hide and should not be alone with you'r kid in the first place.

The savings in transportation and insurance alone would be huge .

What other benefits or cost savings can we come up with?

Indeed, and I would think a far greater curriculum could be realized in this way also.

Got to get rid of the propaganda on the tv first...

Requiring school approved content could be a possible way around that.

Not to mention the savings from all of the endless school construction being curtailed.

I was actually talking about the the media but yeah that too.

Not seeing much of a downside so far really.

We really have to come up with some better ideas then trashing the Constitution further like they are now considering. This is already being done albeit in a limited form already my teacher friend has told me.

Most families can't afford to have one parent stay at home.

They do it already on closed days and summers, other arrangements could be made.

Perhaps small groups of local kids like the old one room school houses. The effort to save the children would be worth it really.

I would say the downside would be the kids would at least need to go to school through metal detectors at least ounce a week to socialize with there peers and to turn in there school work.

Homework would all be turned in electronically and the children could greatly benefit from not having to deal with all of the peer pressures and bullying that now is so rampant in the schools. Many students are already being schooled at home with excellent results in fact. I should also mention that this would be for our children so the efforts and any inconveniences would be well worth the attempt to fix the school problem.

Them makeing friends and learning from it should not be taken from them.

No one said they can not make friends and in fact this could be encouraged and it would be much safer than the current method.

lets add hand writeing skill too.

my method makes detecting weapons easear to detect just 1 day a week.

Let’s add it to what specifically? Handwriting would be included within the curriculum as it is now in fact.

not everyone owns a scanner for one... and they should go to school at least ounce a week like you and I to turn in there work them selfs like responsible people we want them to be.

No need to go to school any longer and each student would have their own scanner obviously. Now your just coming up with nonsensical ideas. Be serious about this! It is for the children!
