There seems to be enough computing power to home school all of the children and keep them safe at home at the same time. Each family can then decide for themselves if a gun free zone makes sense or not. What say you! Quoting: Grateful1 I am all for choice. However, most parents have to work. Arrangements could be made if we care enough for the kids surely. Triton |

It may take time to get the ball rolling but the end result could very possibly be worth the time , effort and money. In fact a lot of money could possibly be saved at the same time. Quoting: Grateful1 Yes, and would allow the State to play a more active role in the home of the average citizen too. |

Now the idea of online school, todays education with a standardized approach, using private industry performance technincs, we can industrialize education while cutting out political student biasing, underperforming teachers and administration staffing, bureaucracy, most of all, the cost! The education guild cut their own throats by caving into the Communist indoctrination push big FAIL. Keep your children home, educate online, and have neighborhood get togethers to intergrate socialization skills. Public education committed suicide. |

Hell, they have a hard enough time with face to face interaction now without making it worse. "Socialism only works in two places: Heaven where they don't need it and hell, where they already have it." Baby sitters or other non working parents are just a couple of ideas right off the top of my head. Parents could also alternate work schedules so that someone would be available whenever needed. Hell, they have a hard enough time with face to face interaction now without making it worse. There would still be church and activities settings for them to socialize at. As it is more educating and less socializing would be a very good thing in many cases. Triton |

Well then, the same forces that created the two parents having to work in this country (I am old enough to remember when one parent worked while Mom stayed home and we lived comfortably from a child's perspective) those forces will have to turn back to a system were things will have to become affordable, sustainable with one provider families. I like to tell my mom about how happy I was as a kid and thank her for being there when we needed here when we were younger. Eating the elephant one bite at a Time seems to be the answer I agree. It will just take a concerted effort time and lots of brainstorming by many people to get this done now. Triton |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 75368394 United States 03/31/2018 09:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | With online schools kids could advance at their own pace, not be held back by kids that need more help. Kids that need more help would have the attention that they don't get now. There isn't any reason that we still have brick and mortar schools. All classes can be taught online. Parents could actually see what their children are being taught. Taxes are so high to pay for these brick and mortar schools and the vast amount of teachers that aren't needed. Schools aren't babysitters or restaurants and parents need to stop treating them as such. |

Quoting: Grateful1 The Law in the UK which im not sure if it is the same for every country but for sure it is here is that ALL education is compulsary and All children must be educated, But school is not compulsary and as parents have the right to home school or private educate our children with or without the knowledge of our government or local authorities knowing. You dont have to be educated parents, nothing is needed or required of you to do this. So myself and my mrs have decided to pull our children from school and home school them. They re learning everything that school never taught. including survival. They are loving the fact of home school and do not miss the bully in the playground no longer. friends come and go, but she has her neighbor friends to play with. we swim 3 times a week, go nature hunting which includes a 3 mile walk through forests and country side. Cave investigation, going down into the deep caves. The usual maths english, and we have a professional music teacher come twice a week teaching them how to play certain music with certain instruments, this really doesnt cost much at all. and our children have benefitted from a better education and better mannerisms |
