Today is not the day Jesus Christ rose from the grave.... It is not Resurrection Easter Sunday
Matthew 12:40

“A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Matthew 26:
When Jesus had finished saying all these things, he said to his disciples, “As you know, the Passover is two days away—and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.”

Passover 2018
began Friday, March 30
at sunset
ends Saturday, April 7
at nightfall

On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”

He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’” So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.”

Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”

Matthew 28
Jesus Has Risen
After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.

There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee.

Re: Today is not the day Jesus Christ rose from the grave.... It is not Resurrection Easter Sunday
Jesus also fulfilled the Passover and in it's place initiated The Lord's Supper. Jesus BECAME the Passover for us. He took all of the burden of that sin upon the cross. The Old Covenant was now done away with, including the Leviticus Priesthood, The tithe, and the practice of animal sacrifice, as well as many other things.

Jesus instructed the disciples to perform the Lord's Supper in remembrance of Him and what was about to occur (i.e. His impending death and Resurrection.)

The Lord's Supper was the 29th.

You are correct that Resurrection did NOT occur on Sunday also. Scripture reveals that there was not one, but two Sabbaths the week Jesus was crucified. There was the Weekly Sabbath, on Saturday, But Passover occurred on Thursday, which is/was an ANNUAL Sabbath that occurred at slightly different times each year. The week Jesus was Crucified had Passover on Thursday that Year. Jesus was Crucified on WEDNESDAY and died and was brought to the tomb at dusk at the setting of the sun and placed within it.

According to scripture a day is counted from SUNDOWN to SUNDOWN. A weekly Sabbath begins Friday evening at sunset and ends Saturday evening at sunset as is every other Sabbath, including annual ones, kept.

Friday, funerary spices and balms were purchased and prepared which took all day to travel (walk or ride a camel or donkey), gather (locate seller booths or gather in the field), purchase and prepare (no running water or refrigeration.). By the time they were ready, the WEEKLY SABBATH was coming on, so they had to wait (again) till after Saturday Sabbath was over.

As dusk began to fall Saturday and the Sabbath drew to a close, Jesus was Resurrected. By the time the Mary came to the tomb early Sunday morning, Jesus had already been risen for quite some time. He was NOT there He had already arose Saturday.

Here also is the importance of the Lords Supper and Jesus's instructions regarding it. This is the WHY of it.

Take this cup and, Drink you all of it.
The Fruit of the vine represents Jesus' shed blood that covers all our sins. When we take this symbolic juice (fruit of the vine) we accept and acknowledge we are not perfect and need a Savior who died for us. He shed His blood to allow us salvation and to gain us access to approach the Father through Christ. Jesus Christ has become the one and only intercessor for us.

In Matthew 20:20–28, the mother of James and John, asks Jesus whether her sons can sit beside Jesus in his kingdom. James and John, through their mother, are seeking prominence. They want to be great.

Jesus answers, with a question: "Are you able to drink the cup that I am to drink?" (Matthew 20:22). This is not a rebuke as we might expect. It’s a simple question to which the brothers reply, "Yes, we are able to drink the cup."
They didn't understand what Jesus is saying. Jesus then turns to his other disciples, who are angered by James' and John’s request because they themselves desired the same prime placement at Jesus' right hand. But Jesus sets them, and us, straight. Greatness in the kingdom of God is obtained along the path of love — the path of sacrifice, service, and suffering.

As people of Jesus we are to follow in the footsteps of Jesus — who "came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many." (Matthew 20:28).
Can You Drink That Cup? The Bible connects God’s wrath with the imagery of a cup.

Jeremiah 25:15 tells us, "Thus the LORD, the God of Israel, said to me: 'Take from my hand this cup of the wine of wrath, and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it.' "

Isaiah 51:17 says, "O Jerusalem, you who have drunk from the hand of the Lord the cup of his wrath, who have drunk to the dregs the bowl, the cup of staggering."

Revelation 14:9-10, an angel speaks, "If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath, poured full strength into the cup of His anger."

Jesus, in Gethsemane, "My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me —nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will." (Matthew 26:39).

The disciples drink a cup, too —a cup of suffering (Matthew 20:23). But Jesus' cup of suffering is different from theirs because Jesus' suffering is under God’s anger.

Jesus drinks the cup of God’s wrath, a cup that has accumulated the fury of God against sins of all types, heinous crimes, adultery, careless words, dishonoring thoughts, and lies — all of it will be punished by God.
Come and Drink This Cup. At Golgotha, our Savior drained God’s cup of burning anger down to the dregs. By forsaking Jesus to suffering, God poured out His wrath, full strength, undiluted, onto His Son. Paul summarizes the meaning of this great event, "For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God." (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Jesus drank the cup of God’s wrath for us so that he could extend the cup of God’s fellowship to us. It might include suffering, but not wrath. We don’t get wrath anymore —Instead we can approach God's throne through Christ who died for us, took that cup for us and became our High Priest and intercessor. We get the sweet, satisfying reality of His eternal fellowship in Jesus Christ, through the Holy Spirit.

This cup of fellowship, we drink now and forever. This is the cup that we offer to those who don’t know Him yet, imploring them in God’s mercy, Come, drink this cup with us because Jesus drank that cup of the wrath of God for us.

Luke 22:19-20. And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.

Matthew 26:27-28. And He took a cup, and when He had given thanks He gave it to them, saying, "Drink of it, all of you, 28for this is my blood of the (new) covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."

Mark 14:24 24 And He said to them, "This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.23For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you."

I Corinthians 11:25 "In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.' " The cup contained the fruit of the vine. Christ is the vine, without Him we cannot bear fruit. "If we don't bear fruit we will be cut off and thrown on the fire." Christ said in John 15:4-6.

We need this renewal and cup more than ever in these end times. John 15:18. "Remember the word that I said unto you, 'The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept My saying, they will keep yours also.' "

This was compiled by a fellow brother (sister) in Christ, who is also a close family member to myself. They have given me permission to post it here. This is part 3 of the 4 part study message on the topic.

Besides, our present day Easter is nothing more than a pagan celebration of fertility, etc.

Re: Today is not the day Jesus Christ rose from the grave.... It is not Resurrection Easter Sunday
its a gradual thing we come to understand the freedom we have in Christ was not for special ritual days or celebration , yet we are free in Christ anyhow, but dont let these things be Means to send you astray, you are free to celebrate Jesus his birth anytime even on the 25 th of december for all days are the Lords. To thank him for his birth, his dying for us his ressurection and ascension. But know the truth and be fully aware that infact the enemy is using these special days and invented the observance of them to cloak his identitity in order to deceive the world to get the world to follow his anti anointed teachings which are demonic; from satan himself!
