Rat Patrol
The Invaders

Hey - we must be related!!! two of my favorite shows of that period too!

Also, I loved some of the British shows we were getting:

The Avengers (with Diana Rigg)
The Prisoner
Benny Hill
Doctor in the House (one of the funniest shows I've ever seen and I don't think anyone has ever seen it)
Monty Python
The Forsythe Saga
Ivanhoe (a version from the early 70s)
Dr Who (but only with Tom Baker)
Almost forgot Secret Agent, also with Patrick McGoohan

Later on, The Young Ones with Rik Mayall.

Other American shows:

The Outer Limits
One Step Beyond
Mission Impossible
The Untouchables
Star Trek
Kolchak - The Night Stalker
The Time Tunnel
Lost in Space (corny as hell though, lol)
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (another corny Irwin Allen)

Some great TV from the 60s to the 80s.....everything seems to have round out of steam around 1985...that's when the whole culture started to collapse and we started fixating on obligatory minorities and women, who simply are not that interesting.

The Wave 1981

An experiment in an American High School where students learn how easy it is to be seduced by the same social forces which led to the horrors of Nazi Germany. Based on a true story.

So relevant to what is happening with the far left marxist cult, it’s scary.

OMG, I forgot about Wild Wild West - I LOVED this show!!! Especially Robert Conrad, who was SOOOOOOOO HOT!

I think it came on after Don Ameche's Showtime, which was a great show that featured circuses from around Europe. Great show for kids.

So many excellent shows back then - even Walt Disney's show on Sunday night was innocent and enjoyable. Disney now is Satanic.

Correct.

Looking at TV shows from the past, before America was as culturally and politically liberal as it is today, reminds me of just how hard-bitten and mean-spirited current society has become.

Most generations are known for having fond memories of the past, so some nostalgia is non-political in nature. But what is going on in the US in today's era truly is chaotic and overly leftwing-negative and leftwing-decadent.

As a teen I liked Fantasy Island. Cheesy but fun. Same as The Love Boat which aired on the same night. My dad made fun of me and my mom watching them. Lol

When I was a kid I loved the Muppet Show.

Yep, keep that in mind when "liberalism" and "liberal" strokes one's warm, tender feelings or is assumed to be a part of the kind, caring aspects of humanity.

Thank you so much for posting this! One of my very favorites - both my mother & I had crushes on Patrick McGoohan, LOL!!!! Later to star in The Prisoner, one of the greatest shows ever and a warning about the kind of surveillance, totalitarian society that's actually developed.

After the Secret Agent title would run, they would usually go into the original British theme song, which was called Highwire, played on a harpsichord, to shots of all over London. Such a great 60s show and when I think of how fucked up London is now, it's sad. At least we have memories of the Swingin' Sixties!
