Russian Navy Launches Massive Missile Attack on ISIS Stronghold

Im confused

I thought ISIS was part of the war on terror?

I thought USA Britain etc had been fighting the War on terror for a long time?

I thought that Russia was supporting Assad?

I thought that Assad was fighting the "rebels"

I thought that russia and britain and France and USA were at odds recently because we had differant enemies.

I thought that as in the speech after the recent cruise missile attacks that Trump stated and was firm in saying that a lot of ISIS had been taken out reduced in Syria by him?

Surely as we all know that USA Britain France NATO and all the Coalition of the Willing were fighting Al Quadea who are now ISIS? or is it DAESH? sorry is it the "Rebels" im not sure who they are rebelling against are you?

Anyhow it seems obvious from this attack and this action before



And todays action as in OP and the fact that ISIS is definately being attacked since day one in Syria by Assad and his democratically elected government and army etc...

And of course the USA France NATO Britain et al are also fighting ISIS we see it on the news all the time, Trump just said oon TV how many of them in Syria the USA has taken out, wever been at war with them and there helpers since Bin laden have we not...

Well if all the world is against them surely they a non nation state group of fighters cant last long, because surely we would all be working together to attack the same enemy?

Of course thats whats happening is it not?

Or is it something im confused about or missing?
