I think the threat is that modern socialistic hive-ideology uses resource domination to round up freedom-loving people in the name of social welfare. The irony is that the 'greatest good for the greatest number' is neither a great good nor decided upon by the greatest number. It is just a form of socialist hypocrisy designed to force feed the masses with mandatory programs that serve the prevailing industries of the day/regime. Here in our day, the prevailing industries are primarily technological, which is why the stakes are so high for freedom and organic living.
