Actually she is still alive, however just as Howard Hughes went insane for having unintentionally killed John Wayne, I am convinced that Stanley Kubrick caused her descent into insanity when he attacked her at every chance while filming "The Shining" so that her terror would be real and felt by viewers.

Margot Kidder was born in Yellowknife in Canada's Northwest Territories.

My brother brought up Margot Kidder's death this morning (oddly, we were talking about Stanley Kubrick which led us to Shelley Duval and then to Margot Kidder). I knew of Margot's passing but had no idea she committed suicide. I looked it up and my brother is correct, according to coroner's report, her death was ruled as suicide:
