The Hamas leader said if 62 were killed then 50 were Hamas. The context is more that he does not really know, he is just saying the majority had to be Hamas. So, he states the obvious.

Of course most of the killed would be Hamas "martyrs" because those are the young men who are willing to challenge the soldiers and come too close to the border. The women are not going to get too close, nor the children. (I mean little children like 10 year olds)

So, that most of the killed are Hamas is logical.

As for why the MSM does not report. The answer is quite obvious.

I would not prefer killing unless it was a last resort.

Shooting someone hundreds of yards from a fence--- not on the fence cutting and breaking through --- is not a last resort.

If they did break through I would hope they try non lethal methods first...capture, pellets, gas.

Hamas is a people group created by powerful entities in order to foment unrest in a specific geographical location. Most adherents of this group are people who have been brainwashed and are used as canon fodder to fulfill a very specific agenda.

To label this group with one simple word is shortsighted.

One cannot trust Salah Bardawil or much of what he says to be true, IMO. That said, as I stated above it is logical to assume that those who would charge the border would tend to be young men who are active in Hamas or other groups in the Gaza. Thus, confirming the general statement of Bardawil, that the majority of those killed were Hamas.
