I moved from Florida about a year now! The new code rules and strict enforcement and the sheriff putting up tag readers all over volusia and flagler counties. Reports of cops using them to harass people. Imagine borrowing a friends car and getting pulled over for no reason other than the tag reader notified the cops that the person who owns the cars license is suspended or some other dumb shit.
Why the fuck should I need to get a plumbing permit to change out my goddamn toilet? Why do I need to get a destruction permit to finish taking down parts of a fence a hurricane damaged and a repair permit to repair it.



Florida only cares about tourist seeing it as a good place to visit but they're fucking the people that live there. You'll notice the main roads are nice and yards taken care of because if not the state will come maintain your property and charge you an arm and a leg then put a lien on your house if you don't pay. Go off the beaten path and you'll find all the shitty areas hidden just out of sight.

Hey now-those are heros being trained to PROTECT us by hiding and trying to catch people speeding, pulling over teenagers and anyone who wears a hat, doesn't have blonde hair, plays loud music-by generating revenue for cities/towns, etc.

AND they put their lives on the line every day by doing so-that's why they need all that military weaponry too.

There's a reason why they are the least educated and the job requires no training in psychology, sociology, interpersonal relations etc-all the while they operate with no oversight, getting paid more than most college-educated or hard-working citizens trying to survive the insessant cost of living increases and live a happy life.

There's nothing wrong with this at all-its not like they're carrying out the policies of tyranny or oppression.

Massage Therapy-but lucky enough, a member of the family used to be a big time lawyer in the city-so now he's about to take the sargent's exam after moving up the ranks for doing nothing more than slipping on ice and hurting his shoulder-and having a kid.

They wear military rank insignia, they have rank and an expectation to obey superiors, they yell and talk down to recruits, they wear drill instructor hats, they often wear military grade vests, tactical gear and weapons. The days of a cop in a dowdy uniform and revolver are over. That was okay when society was more civilized. Now the gangs are running around with full auto weapons and many are ex-military from countries all over the world- we have a problem. Society has deteriorated and cops NEED to up their game to survive. As a peaceful taxpayer I NEED and WANT the cops in my town to be trained well and be heavily armed in case a gang scumbag(s) tries something. Do not be naive- every city and town is crawling with homocidal gangs with tremendous firepower.

And thank God the staties never speed! From the radar detector discussion it's clear they don't speed! I must have been mistaken all the times I have seen cops doing 80 and tailgating, or turning on lights to go through an intersection because they don't want to wait, or not stopping at a stop sign. Glad they obey all traffic laws!
