HAZLEHURST, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

One person is dead and seven more people shot in a mass shooting that happened in Hazlehurst early Sunday morning.

According to Hazlehurst Police Chief Swilly, 26-year-old Jonathan Miller was shot and killed at a bar and night club called Tootsie's Spot. Six of the injured have since been released from the hospital and one is in stable condition.

Police responded to the club on Monticello Street at around 2:53 am.

Eight shots were fired inside the building by the suspects, who police say were recklessly shooting in the building. Warrants have been issued for the suspects, identified as 23-year-old Dariendejuan "Daquan" Fells and 21-year-old Odarius Black.
