I can't get behind this type of church action, it's all political. I remember a sermon I preached where I talked about Trump overturning the law that prevented politics from being preached in church (had to do with 501(c)(3) tax exemption). I said "politics has done more to divide America than any other thing, why would we want that in the church?"

They should use their collective energy to talk about ending human sex and labor trafficking in Africa and the Middle East or bringing awareness to Washington about the millions of Christians around the world persecuted and killed for their faith.

The more their rediculous agenda is attempted to be rammed down our throats, the more President Trump is a slam dunk to be reelected.

That's the thing about peoples "god"s. They are fully subjective. A lot of people even say a "personal god". That's exactly right. People pick a definition of "god" based on their own interpretation of what they "believe" such an entity would want or be like. Most often based on some sort of ancient mythological text, originating geographically close to where they grew up. I'm not concerned at all about someone taking back ownership of any sort of mythology from the government. The first amendment to our Constitution covers that issue. They might as well be saying they are "reclaiming the cookie monster" or "taking back the leprechauns". All those statements would hold equal validity in a US court of law, and for good reason.

I think Trump is a deist at least (like most of the founding fathers), and more likely atheist. In any case I don't think anyone at their level of world influence has any belief in a magical intervening man in the sky. Who care about who wins what war, or who you go to bed with, or what you eat and on what days. They act like they do, but it's only to appease their voting base, and to relate to that portion of the populace.
