I watched Barry Trotz as a Junior in WHL as a Regina Pat. He had a really bad injury in the minor leagues and could not play hockey anymore. I am hoping now that as a coach of the Caps he can win it all!!

This is usually true, but most of their team is having career years and amazing chemistry, like William Karlsson who scored 20-25 points in each of his previous two seasons, and came out with 78 points this year. That's incredible. Also, they chose a team when the NHL is just transitioning to a speedy transition game, where goons/fighters are replaced with depth players that can makeplays and score. Thats why teams like ANA/LA who are behind the curve on that got swept this year.


They also got a veteran goalie who so far has a .94 save % and 3 shut outs, and thats all you really need to win a championship in hockey.

The Vegas shooting happened just before the pre-season started so, im not surprised they wanted to give their city something to be happy about and have been on that momentum since.

I think Vegas will win, they'll continue to score the first goal in their games and before you know it will be over in 4.

Caps in 6.....New franchise wont figure out defensive hockey. Fluery is great however he wont be enough. Caps in 6.
