It is natural to regret mistakes, but even if they are serious, it is pointless & even harmful to dwell on them & let remorse eat away at you

Remorse - its negative effects; recalling instead moments of light and joy

"It is natural to regret mistakes, but even if they are serious, it is pointless and even harmful to dwell on them and let remorse eat away at you, in the belief that by doing so you will receive divine mercy. With this attitude all you are really doing is continually recreating and feeding, at a subconscious level, the same stereotypes of heaviness and wretchedness. Remorse must be used only as a means for deciding not to give in to the same mistakes again. Those who go over and over their mistakes stir up the sediment on the astral plane. Not only do they cause themselves a great deal of harm by doing so, but contrary to what certain fanatics might imagine, this attitude displeases the Lord. For the Lord did not create humans to feel wretched, guilt-ridden and unworthy; he created them to live like him in beauty, joy and plenitude.

Have you behaved badly? Once you have understood how and why, recall times you have known that were full of light, times when you felt like a child of God, happy, confident and carefree. By doing so you restore the right conditions in your soul for the entities that participated in these states of joy and light to come back and visit you, and you receive the strength necessary to keep your good resolutions."
