What's the stuff they call "Wax"??

Okay. I'm ancient and admit it.

I know (from my misspent youth) Grass, Coke (not cola), various uppers and downers but always Rx stuff back then. And of course "hash".

Seems that today no one knows what "hash' is or was. They talk about "wax". I don't think they mean something for the floors or furniture and they're not talking about the stuff that you use a Q-tip to get out.

So what is "wax" and how is is related to what we once knew as "hash"???

I've actually had a well known and well respected MD recommend that I consider using this "wax" (thanks to Med Marijuana it's possible to buy legally) for pain relief.

Years ago in Amsterdam I had a bad toothache and could not get to an endodontist until Monday for a root canal.The tooth went bonkers on Friday night. We went into a "coffee shop" in Amsterdam and asked for something to help with the pain. The kid recommended some hash rolled up in a conventional joint.

At that time I'd smoked weed maybe 4 times in my life and didn't really like it. But figured it was this or an emergency room that night. So I bought the hash, the grass, papers, and rolled a couple of generous joints. Took a few hits off of one in front of the shop and then walked back to the hotel. By the time I got to the Hotel I was absolutely free of pain in the tooth! I could sleep and when I woke I took a couple of hits and got thru the next days pain free as well.

I'm guessing the stuff they call "wax" today is similar or nearly the same as what we knew as hashish. Can any of you younger people please define and enlighten me. I would love to have something lighter than narcotic pain meds - which I've been on legally for years.
