Knowing without awareness is impossible.
Awareness without knowledge means witnessing.
The source of awareness is the witness.
The witness is primary to any knowledge.

It is not the "now" which is eternal.

The "now" mantra is widely misunderstood in the West. There is something eternal within every "now" which is of importance, not the moments.

Observe the happening while it's happening and realize that you are the happening letting it happen. You may happen to become aware of something that you never have happened to have happen to you and thus you happen to continue observing the continual happening because it happens to lead you somewhere you happen to never have happened upon.

But who can be content for more than a moment in delay? I am just consoling myself. :) But contentment is said to be a gateway. I can't get over that - contentment is a gateway to liberation. Who can grab contentment? It's quite elusive. It comes only as a result of something else, from some kind of work in purification, or true giving.

Q: What is solid enough to build the world on cannot be mere illusion. beingness/the presence is the only changeless factor I am conscious of; how can it be false?

M: It is not the presence that is false, but what you take yourself („I am“) to be (being this or not-being that). You are nothing that you are conscious of. You cannot deny the present moment, mind or no mind.

So far you took yourself to be the movable and overlooked the immovable. Turn your mind inside out. Overlook the movable and you will find yourself to be the ever-present, changeless reality, inexpressible, but solid like a rock." ... discover the timeless reality behind your present state which is neither beginningless nor endless(only NOW). Re: Self-realization
M: Your mind is steeped in the habits of evaluation and acquisition and will not admit that the incomparable and unobtainable are waiting timelessly within your own heart for recognition.

All you have to do is to abandon all memories and expectations (imagination). Just keep yourself ready in utter nakedness and nothingness (not-a-thing-ness). From nothingness of mere awareness, this ‘I-am-ness’, the presence has appeared.

Q: Who is to do the abandoning?

M: God will do it. Just be aware of the need of being abandoned. Don't resist, don't hold on to the person you take/conceptualise yourself to be. Don't trust definitions and descriptions - they are grossly misleading.

Q: Maybe it is true, but, I feel, it is not the whole truth.

M: Know you own mind first. Do not try to know the truth, for knowledge by beingness/the presence/the I AM is not true knowledge. But you can know what is not true - which is enough to liberate you from the false. The idea that you know what is true is dangerous, for it keeps you imprisoned in beingness/the presence. It is when you do not know, that you are free to investigate. And there can be no salvation, without investigation, because non-investigation is the main cause of bondage.
