This is actually really cool. A lady with terminal breast cancer had 3 months to live before a brave doctor took her in. The doc analyzed her cancerous tumors in the lab and identified weak spots in the cancers genome. Then they analyzed her white blood cells to see which ones were able to attack the cancer, isolated those white blood cells, then used them to create a lab grown culture of 90 BILLION of those exact white blood cells. She had a large tumor in her chest dissipate WITHIN WEEKS. This is huge. "The very mutations that cause cancer turn out to be its Achilles heel."
[ link to www.bbc.com (secure)] My dad had prostate cancer so bad when they attempted to remove it they stitched it closed and said forget about it...it was that full of cancer. They left it in so he would not become incontinent. Quality of life thing right than. His options were chemo, radiation, or a new experiment I believe called leukophresis something or other. Every week he went Monday to the red Cross had his blood drawn, sent to Georgia to have it separated and added to and on Friday went and had it put back. His cancers numbers are now normal for the past 2 years. He still does hormone therapy but is doing well at 71. Medicare did cover a good portion tho it was experimental at the time. So they know... Cancers need to be attacked at the cell level. Man thanks for sharing, that's awesome he is doing better now!!!
