'She will not be missed': Woman's abandoned children get the last word in savage obituary
[link to www.yahoo.com (secure)]

"The printed farewell starts off as most of them do — the reader is introduced to Kathleen Dehmlow (neé Schunk), who was born on March 19, 1938. At age 19, Kathleen married Dennis Dehmlow, and they had two children, Gina and Jay.

But then it goes off the rails completely. In 1962, four years after her marriage to Dennis, Kathleen became pregnant by his brother, Lyle Dehmlow, and moved to California, leaving her children behind.

Gina and Jay were raised by her parents, Joseph and Gertrude Schunk. Finally they write: “She passed away on May 31, 2018, in Springfield and will now face judgment. She will not be missed by Gina and Jay, and they understand that this world is a better place without her.”

If We sterilized liberals then child abandonment and hunger would disappear.

Truth ought to always be told. I have been to many funerals and such of people said my ministers to be rushing away to heaven.. when these ones where always AWFUL. This is a societal thing that should be changed.

Along with "rest in peace"... which is an abstract of non truth too.

my dad divorced my mom and left us when I was 3 months old. What he did was shitty, I grew up without my dad and of course had issue with that, but I grew up and got over it. What his lady did was shitty, but what these kids did was equally shitty and I seriously worry about their mental health. As adults we deal with things and move past them. Some times it's better to just be quiet

Perhaps speaking out through the obituary was their way of giving the ordeal closure so they COULD move on past it....did you ever think of that?

this is another example of deteriorating society and evil.even if these people were bad who died.in the past people who put these obituaries of the deceased didn't do this to this extent.we continue to sink to new lows.we are truly becoming a CLASSLESS society

Your a woman so it's easy for You to forgive because You had a mother to teach You the ropes. I'm pretty sure if You were a son abandoned and raised by a mother then You would feel completely different. A woman can't teach a boy how to be a man and men whom were raised by women are at a severe disadvantage in life if they had no male role models.

Re: 'She will not be missed': Woman's abandoned children get the last word in savage obituary
My Ex wife basically abandoned her children at 3 & 5. I raised them they are still conflicted by the fact when she sees them acts as if nothing happened. Goes to the extent of giving them drugs, alcohol and pornography when they are as young as 13.
And still insist on "I'm a good mom" persona.

Frankly in my situation they would have been much better off if she would have passed or completely gotten out of their way.

Sad to say but it's true.

Maybe I'm different, but I think grief and healing are a private matter. You heal from the inside. Bashing the dead is cowardly and a misguided plea for pity. Both will make you bitter. Negativity doesn't help the healing process.

Maybe the woman thought she doing that's best for them. We don't know what goes on in people's heads. I've misconstrued many a person's intentions. As humans we naturally gravitate toward the negative.

This will end up being their legacy, not her's.
