I do not think Sessions was stepping in the way on this matter either. To me, it seemed as if he tried putting Congress on the hook to do something about it. Congress has the ability to override the DEA, if they were actually inclined to do so.

There are a lot of corruptocrats throughout the bureaucracy who live for grabbing money similar to the way that cops were handing out jaywalking tickets in Los Angeles.

Yep, believe it or not. Police in that city were standing at corners pulling aside people for jaywalking while ignoring major street crimes - such as drug use, stealing, public indecency - happening just a few blocks away or even in the same area.

Of course, the cops would single out only people who looked like they could afford to pay the fines.

I believe the law was changed several months ago to finally stop such bullshit. But it took years to put a halt to it.

This is BS, we do not need the Feds approval for this to be a states right. It a state right whether they like it or not. By the feds giving us “permission” to legalize weed, they are creating some type of precedence that we will need their approval for other issues in the future. Wrong. Trump said before he was elected that he believed marijuana regulation and legalization should be an issue for the states. This isn't just about Colorado.

There are a number of states that have refused to move forward on any kind of medical program, or legalization attempts because they were afraid of potential federal backlash.

Federally mandating that it's a state's rights issue removes the reach of the feds over the rights of the states to make their own choices on the matter.

First this, then the parks, then the education system. MAGA.

Im still on the fence whether young healthy people should be smoking marijuana but it seems to help a lot of people and its all natural. It takes the profit out of gang activity when people can walk into a shop and buy some

No one implies that this will allow young people to have it. That will be for the states to ultimately decide. But, if they treat it like alcohol then the states have pretty much done their due diligence.
