True story here. We lost a child to SIDS in 2002. My wife and I had two more really too quickly and it led to her becoming depleted of key vitamins/minerals which led to mental illness/post-partum, etc.

It was terrible. During that last pregnancy, though, she went from raging Limbaugh supporter to almost voting for Kerry. She became a raging liberal in most all of her thinking.

Years later, as she has come out of the fog her brain was in, she became a Conservative again in her thinking, etc.

She has been in the hospital twice since the original event 15 years ago - and each time, she became a nasty, spiteful, man-hating liberal. I am not making this up.

I have to say here, the hell I have been through because of the mental illness dwarfs anything the loss of our child put me through. I would not wish what I have been through on my worst enemy. I stick with her only because it is the right thing to do - and because she gave me 5 beautiful children and I am positive as I am writing this, that she would be pushing a shopping cart around on the streets and completely homeless if I threw in the towel on her.

Point is; liberalism IS a mental illness. I have proof.... sadly.
